funny how all these murderers are always young atheist teens stealing weapons of their divorced parents or being in gangs because their dysfunctional families couldnt raise them decently...
This is an old article, but if you study the history of mass murders, the majority of them are religious. Probably the most common factor with these unhinged individuals who commit such savage crimes is that they ARE RELIGIOUS. Their is a undeniable link between religiousness and atrocities. I made a survey starting in 1980 and ending in 1981. It was an attempt to find why mass murderers killed people. For 18 months I cut every article from the Flint Journal telling about a mass murderers. There were 12 of them. I put the articles in a large envelope. I then spent many hours reading the articles trying to find some common link between each murderer. As I read the articles I asked, Why did the murder? What kind of moral training did they receive? How possibly could they kill loving, good people?
I found 11 of the 12 either had a very religious upbringing, or they carried a Christian Bible with them at all times, or they believed in demons and devils.
Bruce Lee murdered 26 people. the article says "Bible reading was his only consolations" and he quoted the bible saying "Matthew 6, verse 24 no servant can be a serve of two masters." Was Bruce Lee, a bible toters, an exception? No! He read the bible not porno. Would more religious training and bible study have kept him from being a mass murderer?
Berwid murdered The article in the Flint Journal quotes him "I was searching the bible and soul searching and I decided God wanted me to do that." It was the Christian Bible, he believed in JESUS AS GOD. Would Prayer in public schools have kept him from murdering?
Curtis Martin took his children to a factory where they melt iron and put his three children in a steel melting pot. He turned on the melting pot. He walked out of the plant reading the Christian Bible out loud. His children turned into charred ash. Isn’t the Bible supposed to be the answer to our problems? Would prayer in public schools produce more fathers like Curtis Martin? Would prayer in public schools produce many more murderers?
He read the Bible. He had faith in snakes talking, people living inside a fish for three days without being digested and in people being spit on top of a mountain miles from the shore. He did not trust in his own mind. Did faith in these illogical stories caused him to lose touch with reality and become a murderer?
Berkowitz called the SON OF SAM, murdered many women. The newspaper said "He called himself a born again Christian", If he hadn't been a born again Christian would he have murdered? Would Bible study have helped him? Did his training and the Preaching in the Baptist Church he attended help produce this brainless, religious scumbag?

Why do I almost always find some mention in newspapers that the person was very religious?
The British Broadcasting company made a major study and found that "those in England who received the most intensive religious training and for whom moral training is most closely tied up with religion--i.e, he Roman Catholics --have a delinquency rate two to three times that of the population in general."The Yorkshire Rapier "was on a divine mission and felt he had been chosen to hear the word of GOD (JESUS)." Reported the Flint Journal. He murdered 11 girls. Would prayer in school have kept him from doing this? Would prayer only produce more fanatics who lose their grasp of what is logical, and ethical? He was not involved with pornographic material. Christians often blame all our problems on liberals and porno.
This man was very religious. He was a conservative. Should we say his conservatism caused him to be a mass murderer?
Patricia Dueweke had lots of religious training. She even went to a Catholic convent, she shot her three children, apparently during a psychotic episode. She was found 'Guilty but Mentally Ill' of all three murders and confined to a mental institution. She was released five years later and is now deceased. Would more religious training have kept her from murdering her children? Would logic and reason training by a Humanist have prevented these murders? I do think so!!!

Miller another murderer had that thing called faith, believed in Jesus. The article says he carried the Christian Bible. He didn't carry round porno or Playboy with pictures of naked smiling girls. Studies show people like Miller who carry bibles around, hate porno.
Think about the effect of religion on morality. Ask yourself "Does it really teaches morals?" Or does it teach people not to think, so they can go to heaven?
Sampson Kanderayi, a mass murderer called The Ax Killer, killed more than 30 people. The newspaper reported "he did it to appease evil spirits." He was a Christian. Did he need more religious training so he would believe in evil spirits? Would prayer with a Christian minister have made him sane and a non-murderer? The answer is no! Would moral training about why you should not believe in spooks even if they are called devils, soles, hell and Jesus saved the lives of a lot of people he killed? Why didn't god stop him from killing good people?
Watts, The Sunday Morning Slasher killed 11 women. This article says he did it "to eliminate evil spirits". He believed in spirits so we can guess that he was a Christian and very religious. Would prayer in schools make more Sunday morning slashers? Most such murderers have had very religious upbringing. Is it porno, or bible study that is to blame?
David Kellers A young boy, "was active in church affairs, working at vacation Bible school this summer, was involved in the church youth group and a regular in the teenage pews on Sunday morning" this article says. With a shotgun he murdered his father and mother. The Flint Journal article said, "David's whole life revolved around church and religion." Would more religious training have only made him a less logical thinker? Who's to blame for David's bad moral training? I blame his religion. More religious training appears to make more murderers. His parents were very rich. His father was head of Standard Oil Co.
Douglas "frequently read the bible, He said a message came from God (you've got to do it! You've got to do it!)" Quotes the newspaper. He went from door to door and knocked until he found a woman at home alone and stabbed her to death.
He needed less religious training and far more training that religion is only a harmful superstition based on believing in thing illogical. He was very religious and a true believer and belief destroyed his mind. THE BBC British Broadcast System made a major study and concluded that convinced Humanist who have been taught Humanist ethics are the most law-abiding group in the population. They quote The Criminal written in 1895 with these remarks "it seems extremely rare to find intelligently irreligious men in prison."
Since my original study I have found numerous similar articles. In the Flint Journal I read of a very religious person putting a child in a microwave oven and cooking it to death, to drive the devil out. I read of another religious couple getting rid of devils by putting their little girl in the oven of a stove and propping the door shut with a chair. The neighbors called the police who arrived to late stop the poor-screaming girl from being burnt to a charred dead mass. I read of a group of religious people beating a child to death to drive the devil out of him. I read of four different people poking out their own eyes and/or cutting off their hands after they read the bible, where it says if your eye offends you pluck it out, if your hand offends you cut it off. I read of religious fanatics bombing abortion clinics and murdering doctors and many other such acts done in the name of god and religion and to make the world more moral. Dahmer carried and quoted the Bible when caught. Timothy McVay and Cunanan are Catholics.
