According to reports, Jesse Jackson Jr is negotiating a plea deal with Federal authorities. Jackson, the son of "Reverend" Jesse Jackson, is being investigated for alleged campaign fund fraud.
Among other charges, he used campaign funds to purchase jewelry, including a $40,000 Rolex. He also used campaign donations to pay his wife, Sandi Jackson, $5000 a month for "consulting work" - payments which continued even after he had won election, and after she was elected Alderman of Chicago's 7th Ward.
Inside sources report that the plea deal includes "significant jail time" for Jackson - but would allow him to keep his Congressional pension.
Other insiders insist that Sandi Jackson "feels like she was thrown under the bus by her husband." A second, separate, investigation is now in progress on Sandi Jackson's role in the campaign fund abuse.

Looks like standard politician BS to me. Community service should do. Too many people are going to jail over BS these days.
