The original Gracie/Kukuk videos are still some of the best. Craig seemed the better teacher of the two, spoke very slowly, broke things down. I loved that series because they would demonstrate technique, then shown it used in real vale tudo fights. Brings back some good memories.
When I first saw this thread, I went and grabbed one of those tapes. I have the whole set.
It's great to view them again as an advanced student and pick up a lot of the subtle things they do that would've gone over my head in the early days.
But you have to remember, that, when those tapes were made, Renzo had just moved to the states, and his English left a lot to be desired.
Right Now, the most literate BJJ teacher would have to be New Zealand John Daneher. The guy has a PHD in philosophy from Columbia University.
