According to IFBB logic I guess Special Ed is to blame for that controversial result that he commented on!!!

Anyone is "available" AFTER their contract...

Of course there are holes, especially in all these ridiculous conspiracy theories...convenient when the guess is right, but explained away when the guess is wrong.

Phil is a MetRx athletes, but also a AMI athlete...

Muscletech isn't title sponsor this year, so I guess you can all throw out that angle...

Ultimate Nutrition is title sponsor, and has Markus Ruhl in the show....if he wins, now you got something...

Victor is with MHP and MD...if he wins, you guys REALLY dint have anything to say

Same with Kai Greene...

If Jay regains the title, then I guess its a AMI thing since you dint have MT to cry foul this year..

Dex repeating as the champ throws out your Phil fix scenario...but I guess you can still fall back on the AMI contract...

Allegedly, the fix was in back in 2001 when Jay was touted to beat Ronnie to boost ticket sales and set up a rematch....but Ronnie ended up winning....

Gunter beats Ronnie at the GNC SOS as he's supposed to go on to the Olympia Title....but he ends up losing there as well.

Flex Wheeler was all but declared the winner as a Weider athlete....but got beat by Ronnie who was with MetRx and nowhere near the top 5 the year before...

Ronnie was allegedly guaranteed victory number 9, but ended up losing to Cutler...

And Lee Haney jumps to Twinlab, but still wins number 8, back in the day.

Right here Bob Chick abandons all credibility and joins the IFBB as hatchet man and errand boy. What a joke that 1983 contest was in Las Vegas. The contest fixing has been recorded for posterity. Ben clearly instructed the judges not to let Bev Francis win. Who else was he referring to when he mentioned muscularity?  Bev never won the Ms Olympia no matter what she did.

The amusing thing is Bev would probably win now because of her association with Weinberger. There was hapless Steve lamenting Bev placing 8th in that contest won by Rachel McLish.  Ben did a bad thing that day and women's bodybuilding has been corrupt ever since.

Ben was trying to preserve what FBB should have been about...he didnt have to mention anyone in particular, it was a LOOK they were going for, and Bev didnt fit the look.

You can see how well FBB has done sionce, basile, as they gradually allowed more muscular and freakier women to place higher and higher...sadly, you're too stupid to see the obvious

Bob, spare us the IFBB justification bullshit. Bev was the best female bodybuilder that day by far and they placed her 8th. That was a disgrace and travesty. Bev later tried the 'feminine' approach and still didn't win. The women's events are more corrupt than the mens and that is saying something.

Why offend those of us who are not biased and corrupt like Bob Chick is?

LOL....yeah, by far

As for Bev trying the "more feminine approach"....much like your ability to be attracted to a women less than 200 lbs., it aint going to happen

Bob,

You brought up Weider supplements when you said that Ronnie Coleman wasn't with Weider when he won the O. Back then, Weider publishing was the only magazine that paid for exclusivity. Ronnie Coleman was NOT under contract with a competing magazine. And it should be noted that shortly after winning the O, Ronnie suddenly dumped Met-Rx and became a Weider-exclusive athlete. Was the deal between Coleman and Weider agreed to in principle BEFORE the 1998 Olympia just as the Dexter Jackson-AMI deal was agreed to PRIOR to Dexter winning the 2008 Olympia? Hmmm...

I appreciate your loyalty to the powerbrokers who have been good to you, but as I have said: I have seen Olympia judges (at non-Olympia shows) ALTERING SCORECARDS of other judges to achieve SPECIFIC RESULTS. That meets most peoples, gamblers, and casinos definition of 'fixing'.

Don't get me started on Dorian Yates. The guy became best buds with the Head Olympia judge, stayed at his house for two weeks prior to the O each year, and won the Olympia while missing an entire major bodypart in the biggest disgrace of Olympia 'competition' ever.

Anyway, if Markus Ruhl places out of the top ten this year, a Bob Bowl at the Firehouse is on me!

Are you suggesting Ronnie's 1998 win wasn't justified?  To use that example in the context you did would almost imply that.  Being that most would consider 1998 a clear win for Ronnie, I'd say your example loses steam fast.

I was mistaken. The year was 2003, not 2002. The contest was the Night of Champions at the Beacon Theater. After much nagging, Wayne Demilia delivered us a pair of first row seats, directly behind the judges table. As the bodybuilders were being compared, I and a fellow longtime GB member leaned forward and snuck peeks at the scorecards. Sitting directly in front of me sat a young black judge, and on either side of him sat Steve Weinberger and the forementioned Bev Francis (Steve's wife). Both Steve and Bev took great interest in the middle guy's scoresheet, each of them reaching over at different times to cross off his numbers and insert their own onto his score sheet. I am pretty sure they weren't playing 'Guess my Age' or 'Tic Tac Toe'.

Incidentally, our very own Bob took 6th that evening behind Victor (in his first win), Pavel Jablonicky, Titus, Kamali, and JOJ. This show was notable primarily because not only were Kamali and Titus mocking each other on stage but Kelly Ryan and Barb Kamali were screaming at the tops of their lungs every time the two were on stage together. All together, it made for  a pretty memorable prejudging and night show.

I still have a nice black and white photo I took of the top five, in which you can see the tops of the judges' heads in the forefront. But I'm sure the 'anti-conspiracy' theorist will probably claim it's been doctored by the Warren Commission.

Anyway, in all fairness and gayness, I don't really care that the show is fixed any more than I care if the Miss Universe is fixed. Like most schmoes, I'm there to look at the ebony and ivory moutains of salacious muscle, not bankrupt the Orleans Sportsbook, which for some strange reason won't take bets on the Olympia.

It is possible that Bev and Steve were both playing Tic Tac Toe on the poor gentleman's scorecard...only using numbers instead of Xes and Os. Battleship, perhaps?

Dexter doesn't promote bodybuilding the way Jay did.

Either Jay or Phil would make better ambassadors than Dexter.

What the Hell did Jay do? I'm amiss as to knoww because all i know was of the interview of him with a Las Vegas  news show prior to one of the Mr. O's, pics of his modded BMW 650i, which nobody complained about, yet people complained about Dex and his modded BMW 750i. Other than that, Jay has done the same as Dex has.

Ok, so you're telling me that from the front row with enough room for people to pass between you and the judges seats...that you were able to "lean forward" enough to see what was being written on a paper, lying flat on the table....in front of the judges??  LOL....please.

As for the "judge in question"...was he actually judging, or test judging? Was he an alternate judge?  Assuming he was a new judge (since you dont seem to know who he was given your vast knowledge.....) perhaps he was scoring in the wrong box, was scoring the wrong round, etc.....you have no idea what was being changed. As the highs and lows are thrown out, this ONE judges score wouldnt have amounted to much anyway. If he was way off, his score would have been dropped....if he was within a place, his score wouldnt need to be "changed"...

You say your "pretty sure", but in reality, you're just inserting what you want to...you of all people shoud know that, counselor. Speculation at best...like the 5 eye witnesses at a accident scene, somehow all seeing and swearing to completely DIFFERENT accounts of the same thing.

Keep on with your story though....it's certainly more entertaining than the truth

LOL! In the event that anyone, anywhere had any question about Bob's indebtedness to the IFBB powerbrokers and his complete lack of interest in judging fairness or impartiality, you have all the proof you'll ever need right here, in black and beige.

But hey, the Eddie Murphy 'Wasn't Me' defense is just about all a guy can offer when he's caught red-handed. The prosecution rests.

Clearly, Chick has to fight what Ed is saying with all of his might because he also knows for a fact that all the 'IFBB Powerbrokers' are reading and studying this thread on an around the clock basis and his ass is on the line if he fails to deliver the 1st line of defense.

If Jim Manion reads these threads it must be funny as hell to hear his calls to his stooge, Bob, telling him what to do.

Imagine having to be the Pro League apologist on Getbig! Now that takes a special guy for sure. You need someone who

is totally loyal and who has no integrity at all. How about a cadet deputy sheriff? Yeah, that is the perfect candidate. Give

the dude some token power and you have a disciple for life.
