I honestly don't recall McGuff claiming he's smarter than the rest of us.  (He probably is waaaay beyond most Getbiggers; then again, that's a dubious achievement.)  I imagine he does fancy his training as the "best way" to a more muscular body, at least based on what he and some McGuffites have said. 

Still, apart from running from one exercise to another and the super-slow shit, I don't see a hell of a lot truly wrong about that workout.  With some Dante-esque rest-pausing and a couple of isolation exercises thrown into the mix, it's really not such a bad method for a bigger dude to train.

Training is training, there really is no "superior way" as long as you aren't an idiot and train soundly and hard. This can be accomplished 100 different ways. Genetics determine who the very muscular guys are.

I get asked every single day of my life "what i do" for arms. same thing you do, there are no secrets, just genetics.

Look at Mike mentzer's chest, then look at Arnold's. supposedly HIT is the one true way to muscular hypertrophy, and volume training is a waste, yet Arnold has the greatest chest of all time and mentzer's was his weak point and he couldn't get it to budge for all of his HIT bullshit. genetics.
