I don't have the M3 vid, but trying to get hold of it.
Anyone know what Levrone's routines for triceps and delt training were?
I'm especially interested in hearing what he did for triceps.
-
Levrone didn't use any special routine or techniques. His triceps development was genetics combined with drugs and whatever degree of work. I'm not sure how hard he trained.
KEVIN LEVRONE'S TRICEPS MASS WORKOUT 1
EXERCISE SETS REPS
Lying triceps extensions * 4 6-8
Seated two-arm dumbbell 4 6-8
extensions 4 6-8
Cable pressdowns
* Prior to the working sets of the first exercise, do two sets, 10 reps
each, as a warm-up.
KEVIN LEVRONE'S TRICEPS,
MASS WORKOUT 2
EXERCISE SETS REPS
Close-grip bench presses * 4 6-8
Overhead cable extensions 4 6-8
Cable pressdowns 4 6-8
* Prior to the working sets of the first exercise, do two sets, 10 reps
each, as a warm-up.

I didn't know he did CG benches - what movie does he do CG benches in? Sets, reps?
What exercises do you see him do in his movies?
Thanks for the input, Pumpster.
LEvrone had SICK tris.
I now know he didn't follow a strict routine but I'd like to get an idea of what he did.

In his case for sure, it wasn't anything special, Just the usual routine. He liked close-grips but someone else might find dips or something else as good or better that development was just doing standard exercises coupled with genetics.
-
Thanks for posting the 2 routines above!
Also, this:

Even with 3 plates for 6-8 reps using "triceps form" dips haven't given me huge triceps. I love doing them and will keep them in the program, but will give CG benches performed with a quite narrow grip (8 inches) like he does in the video a go.

I think his benching was also the reason for his huge tris. I liked how the head lateral head just stood out, same with Flex Wheeler's and Serigo's. It looks good in a T-shirt

Hard to say for sure that it was that particular exercise, because others do close-grips and don't have that development. Anyone with the genetics who does the standard exercises will grow. Close-grips are one of several similar compounds that will work the medial and lateral heads. Try different exercises for those areas and decide for yourself which works best for you, not based on someone else's results.
Something like close-grips that i like better is pushdowns with elbows wide; it's a very similar compound movement that Bertil Fox used. His tris were at least as good as Levone's, or better.
Another one Fox liked that i also prefer is bench dips. Bench dips and dip machine that Dillet likes are both more intense on the tris, to me and better than than regular dips or close-grips.
Use all of those compounds and decide which works best for you; they hit the same areas.

thanks Pumpster.
I am gonna do the 2nd workout,
Close-grip bench presses * 4 6-8
Overhead cable extensions 4 6-8
Cable pressdowns 4 6-8
and use the form he uses in the youtube vid for CG bench presses and STICK with this routine until I can do 3 plates+ for 6 comfortable reps.

Dude, its not what exercises he did that gave him those awesome delt/trices/traps...it was his genetics...
-
its his genetics all the way and his workout helped his ass out but genetics played a big role in it

I would commit 10 friggin crimes to get his delts

Probably my fave Levrone era. The bald era...sick physique sans the gut. Awsome.....

The second routine is now staple in my program.
Actually works quite well. The CG benching done with his form in the youtube vid hits my tris very well.
-
wow he looks sick in that blad clip

It's a pretty good DVD. About the only thing I found annoying was the constant music soundtrack. I enjoy watching these DVDs with the natural sounds and background of where they're at.
