Chargers and Saints are the highest probability that should make for a very good game, but there are some other strong teams to make it interesting, like the Ravens, Colts & NE.

colts will win the whole dam thing if thier defence keeps playing like the first round but we know they wont, the ravens have to rely to heavily on mcnair and same for the pats in regards to tom brady

Well, The Ravens need to focus on what's in front of them(Colts). But in the grand scheme of things, here is the ideal scenario I'd prefer: Patriots win today, go to San Diego and win and come back to Baltimore for the AFC title game. Not too crazy about going to San Diego. They would have serious revenge on their minds from their last second week 4 loss to the Ravens.

I would say the Ravens have a better chance than the Saints.

How about a Saints/Ravens Superbowl?

Week 8 result: Ravens 35-Saints-22.

I really think grossman is going to choke. He isnt a ptp'er (prime time player) and NO has too many offensive weapons. not a lot of big names on defense but they have good game plans with servicable players. San Diego is just awsome from top to bottom

This is true to a point. While San D is a awesome football team they do have weaknesses. The secondary is weak as well as the recievers, they have had problems tackling and the head coach is 5 - 12 in thr playoffs. The qb, while great is a playoff rookie. Lets not forget the 400 plus yards of offense the bangals put on them.

They are the most complete team in the nfl, but they are not bullet proof.

The most interesting subplot is the Rivers vs Brees thing. Brees was forced out of SD for an highly paid unproven QB..this is gonna be  awsome.

YEah but the pats wideouts are nothing like the bengals. I think the pass rush will prove too much

SD had two great QBs they felt it was time to pass the tourch they went with rivers when he gets a couple more years and a lot more playoff games under his belt he will be another brady

Yes they are. gates and Tomlinsen catch most the passes. McCardel has been a huge dissapointment for san d. We also have a 3 time sb champion throwing the ball.

I am not saying the pats are better. All I am saying is they are even. I give the edge to the pats because of who is throwing the ball.

Yes they are.

Not at all, Brady makes them better but they dont strecth the field like the bengals. They like the crossing short routs. The bengals just deep balled them all game.

the chargers biggest suspect right now is rivers he is young but this is were legneds are made rivers had to man up and just win its like when brady got his shot

Check this out

quarterback : Advantage NE ( Brady 2 time superbowl mvp,3 time sb winner, 11- 1 postseason)

Running back
: Advantage San D ( While Maroney Faulk and Dillon are very good... But, LT is on another level, neal is a monster and Turner is pretty good to)

Recievers : .Slight advantage pats. Pats have  slightly better recivers as a whole. McCardel has been a disapointment for the chargers. San D's top two recievers are the tight end and the running back. Neither group (wr's) are stars. 6'4, 240 lb Chad Jackson is healthy and could have a break out game for NE. With the reliability of Caldwell and Brown and the break out game Gaffney had I give them the slight edge

D line : Advntage pats : Wilfork and Willaims are the best in the game, the advantage to the pats is made by Seymour and Warren, who are slightly better then Castillo and Olhansky

Offensive line
: advantage San D  While the the NE O line has suffered from injury this year they have come on strong. Only allowing 5 sacks in the last 4 games. Lt's ability makes it hard to tell how well the line actually is blocking, but I give the advantage to the chargers since they had fewer sacks this year

Linebackers : advantage San D ( MERRIMAN)

Secondary
: advantage pats ( Asanti samuel has 11 picks on the year the chargers finsihed 13th aginst the pass giving up 19 tds. The pats secondary have only given up 10 tds on the year

Special teams : advantage San D   which comes down to the kicker Glaskowski has very good .769 making 20 - 26 while Keading is a near perfect .897 making 26 -29 The pats have slightly better coverage but the nod goes to san d because of the spectacular field goal unit. Maroney has a 30 yard return average, to turners 25 yard average

Coaches : huge advantage NE :  Bill ( 3 time superbowl winner 12-2 postseason) ( Marty 5 12 postseason chokemaster)

The chargers are better talent wise but the pats match up well.

Actually if you talk about defense in terms of game planning i will go with the pats. I think their sceme is gonna be tough..But pure athletes im goin with sd.. i think they are jsut gonna line up and go...lots of blitzing and pressure. they have to get brady out of the game early. Try and get him off rythm. I they play vanilla and let him chuck it all over the field its gonna be ugly.

I was editing that when I got a connection problems message. The pats do have the advantage. Look for 6'5 241 lb chad jackson to make some noise. He was injured most the year.

Trust me fellas I know if the pats do not bring there A game they will lose.

Lt is a phenominal player absolutly fantastic.

Look out for number 39, the rookie running back Maroney. He was out for multiple games with torn rib cartalige. He is going to be the real deal. He has a 30 yard return average also. People are sleeping on the 123 combo of Dillon Maroney and faulk all three have totally dif looks to them.

Well they are obviously going to have to contain Westbrook. If he plays a big game they are in deep shit. They will also be getting different looks with Garcia at qb and Stallworth back in the lineup.

Is Horn going to play?

Not to change the subject, but take a look at San D's regular season record. I know this is the playoffs, and this is a different time. I know the Marrimen was out for some of these games also. I think the bills game is what Bill and co will focus on most.

Do not get me wrong. I think this is a dominant football team, just showing stats.

Not to change the subject but take a look at San D's regular season record. I know this is the playoffs and this is a different time. I know the marriman was out for some of these games also but, it is valid. I think the bills game is what bills and co will focus on most.

I agree, but you talk to some people and you would think they blew everyone in the leauge out by 60 points. I was trying to show calling this game a gaurenteed W would be foolish. ( Not refering to you). Do you know the Chargers will not sell tickets to NE fans?

The bottom line is San D is a beast. But, NE is overlooked so they might suprise many people.

What do you think about the n.o / eagles game? What do you think will happen within the organization if Garcia was to lead this team to a sb win?

Two.  Trade McNabb up and get a pick or something better.  His running is no reason to keep him around.  He sucks at being a QB but is only good at running.

I am on the fence with this one. I would lean towards what rude is saying. How much longer can Jeff keep this up?

Garcia is smaller, so those hits have got to take there toll.

I def don't agree with McNabb.  I don't follow Carr enough to know much about him but if you give him a good O-Line and the Eagle's WRs and he could be great.

McNabb was averaging like 300 yards/game until he got hurt. He fits perfectly into Philly's system.

Yea, and when you run your fat ass right into bigger guys, you get hurt like he does.  He doesn't like to drop back and pass.  He drops back for a second and then runs.  He could be better but he just chooses to run.

Teams that win nowadays drop back and pass and have better run games.  If they didn't have Westbrook, McNabb's numbers would suck.

Very true.  There are so many teams that have great WR but they have a running QB and that fucks with their numbers.

Hahaha.  Fuck that prick.  I just feel back for the Eagles, Falcons. etc WR.  Nobody wants to see QBs run.  They want long bombs and high scores.  None of this 9-3 win bullshit.

like i siad to big mal if the SD defence lets brady be brady and dillon be dillon and maroney be maroney SD is in big fuggen trouble

the key to this game for the pats besides Brady is going to be Maroney...If he is patient, SD's defensive line is very fast...And they tend to over persue...if Maroney can be patient and let them over persue, he has the ability to make some huge runs...

McNabb can for sure still play...I think his problem is that he goes into every game thinking he has to put it all on his shoulders...Garcia doesn't do that...If McNabb can trust what is around him, he will be fine...Their is no way that they are gonna let McNabb go(he is still relatively young)...Garia is playing like he has nothing to lose...He will be 38(i think)next year...So he really does have nothing to lose...I think it may just be a one year wonder with Garcia this year...Where ever he goes after this, he will feel the pressure...Still a really good QB right now...But not so good that Philly would let McNabb sit or go for...

He is a liability to them.  That's alot of money to pay someone injured the last 3-4 years in a row.

yes he has been injured but if the docs give him a clean bill of health. I just can't see letting him go...If that happend he could just end up with the bears...Or the packers...If he went to oakland, that wouldn't be such a horrible thing(afc) but what would they get for him? I actually think he would be great in Oakland...I still think he has 4 more good years behind him(if he can get healthy)..The Philly are actually my pick to win it all this year..Although my heart is with the Pats..

My team, the Niners, is home again, so I don't really care who gets there.  I'll probably root for the Colts, because I've been picking them to win it all for about the past four years.  The most interesting game overall would probably be N.O. v. S.D.  Lots of great stories:  Rivers, LT, Brees, Bush, the City of N.O.

I should add that the one team I wouldn't bet against in the playoffs is N.E.

Send his ass to Oakland.  They need all the QB help they can get.  They never liked McNabb in Philly that much so getting rid of him ain't that big a deal.
