Why?  He's clearly better than Justin Fields.  He has already had a Hall of Fame career and won a Super Bowl.  And he's clutch.

He was good at one time. Did you watch him last year? He was terrible. Denver released him even though they still have to pay him 28 million dollars this year which is why Pittsburgh signed him for almost nothing (league minimum for a veteran). The Broncos tried to trade him but there were no takers.

I didn't watch him last year, but I've seen him quite a bit over his career when he played the Niners.  But in looking at his stats last year, he was not terrible.  Not great, but not terrible.
