Less than great
Because they don't know how to pose
This. Phils back is one of the best and Rhoden has a nice back double bi. If Phil looks great from the back, and is kilos heavier than alot of people that competed in the 90's. There is no doubt that his lat spread is going to be better if done correctly.
What the heck are you talking about? He's not kilos heavier than guys in the 90s , he competes at 245-250 , Phil's front latspread sucks because of his structure
the added weight of todays competitors is enlarged internal organs and visceral fat.their dimensions or the other body parts are similar.
Phil's front latspread sucks because of his structure
Not true ,it is the way he hits that pose , these new guys bring their elbows and shoulders forward , like they are hitting a back lat spread , instead of slightly leaning back .This is the right way to do it
Not great either
Che is correct, you have to slightly lean back when doing a front lat spread.Case in point: Vince Goodrum, CSN, MFT, HPP, CEO. As you can see, Mr. Goodrum leans back, which accentuates his excellent V-taper.
I doubt you could find a pic of flex that looks this bad:
