No, its a stupid waste of money. Most people never come out winners. Even if you win $10,000 on a lottery ticket, you most likely spent more than that in losing tickets. Obviously, this is not including those that gamble once in a blue moon. But for the people who are consistent gamblers, they always lose more, even if it looks like they are winning. They just never account for all the money they lost in the past, and only look whats currently in their pocket.

Ill keep my money.

That logic does not make sense when it comes to gambling. If you spent $20,000 in lotto tickets, and finally win $10,000, how have you come out on top? What you are tomorrow is $10,000 less poor. Fact.

people who buy state lotto tickets are dumb. besides the person who wins the jackpot you have a better chance of having a 10/10 girl of your dreams walk up to you on the street and offer to be your personal fuck doll.

now you gonna tell me the detroit tigers can't beat the minnesota twins by 2 runs today?

You're right about the lottery, it's for fools.

Slots are the same, and a lot of Casino games.

You can consistently make money at black jack though and some other games if you know what you're doing.

you don't even need to follow. i've seen maybe 4 soccer games my whole life but i  bet heavily on it. it has a good payout value

if you wanna jump on it, wait for a team to win streak 4 games and then ride it until they lose

sort of true.  Everyone at the blackjack tables needs to know what they are doing.  I was at a table where some fuck kept on hitting even with good cards always taking away the bad cards from the dealer and the dealer kept on winning and the table kept on losing.  The guy was fucking it up for everyone.

But If the table is full of good players it's easy to clean house.  I went from $25 to $500 playing at a table with this guy at the anchor spot who would sacrifice his hand for the table.  The guy was awesome.

Cool, that does sound good

I like the probability factor.  I mean you can't lose overall if you do the math on this stuff.

True story, about 15 years ago I go to a $25 min table.  I sit beside this guy who tells me he is an MIT stats professor.  He would spout off odds each time telling me when to hit or stay.  I couldn't lose.  I made so much cash that night.

Thinking about it years later when I heard of that MIT ring, I think he may have been the professor that set it up.

Yeah, anything can happen and Worely's a sleeper pick, but I don't know if I'd consider it "good".

best way is to bet by units of your bankroll

$100 (your total gambling money) would break into 100 units.

general rule is to never bet more than 3 units on a single bet, and never more than 5 units in total plays in a day. never bet what you can't afford to lose.

Once a year, I like to go down to Vegas and hit the poker tables (Texas Hold'em). It can be fun, but there are way too many pros working those tables.

More often, I like to go to local poker games at the homes of friends. It's fun, fair and typically spent laughing, while telling old stories.

If you play the run line that eliminates the money line, no?   That's how it worked when I used to work for the bookmaker.

those tournaments are bullshit though.  Lots of teams.  To win you need to get a lot of chips early and fast, so teams of 10 or so will play and they will all lose to one player who then quickly gets a leg up and can be super aggressive early. It costs money but gives you a huge advantage

i hear bad things about tourneys. a vietnamese gambler i know (these guys bet like a guy) said he goes all in first hand with jacks or better, and usually knocks out 1-2 people. crazy tactic for a tournament you pay $ to enter.

I used to play poker stars until it got closed for ripping people off.  I went all in with $1200 cash game with 4 jacks ( I had started with $250 and grew over a couple weeks.  I lost to someone with 4 queens.  Is that even possible?  It is total bullshit and a scam.  Of course years later I learned that they did cheat like mofos.  They fined them millions but I've yet to see a penny of that paid back to me  :'(

I go to Vegas and throw a bit of money on the craps table when I'm there.  I always put $100 on the Ravens to win the super bowl, and this year I actually won $1,300.  Most I've ever won.

They didn't cheat or rip people off. You are a moron. They were fined and shut down only in the us by the doj for servicing players in the us. They payed their fines and reimbursed all us players.

But it's pretty clear you have no idea with your blackjack stories as well

EL DIABLO, There were a couple of books written by MIT ‘students’ who ‘developed ways’ to win while playing Blackjack, but the main book that brought LV casino to its senses was a book called “BEAT THE DEALER” which I believe was the first such book to introduce the world to BASIC STRATEGY which I consider myself to be an expert at. (I play Blackjack at least 3x a week in Las Vegas.)

That MIT professor you sat with most likely knew Basic Strategy as every Blackjack player should   .... along with the percentage of times such and such a ‘hand’ will be delt.

It’s all pretty basic knowledge now and each casino sells  Basic Strategy cards in the gift shop which you will most likely see on every table which has new BJ players involved.

But unless you are a Basic Strategy expert and also know how tocount the cards accurately, the edge will still be in the house’s favor.

But it will be a very small ‘edge’. Something like  .5% in the house’s favor.

Most professional gamblers will only play Poker or Blackjack or Craps if they enter a casino with the hopes of winning. The smarter ones will only play POKER.

But in each of those casino games so mentioned, you have to know:

When to hold ‘em and when to fold t’em while playing Pokeer.

When to hit or stand or double down or even surrender when playing Blackjack.

And a shit-load of stuff when playing Craps, but very  important  …. When and        how to take the Odds. And most important …. When to quit and leave the table.

I can honestly say that I usually win whenever I sit at a Blackjack Table ,….. and I ALWAYS lose then I stand at a Craps table.

And I can’t lie or bluff  to save a nickel whenever I play Poker.

I got a Poker Tell face I guess.

So I’m usually sitting at a Blackjack table with a big smile on my face beauuse  I can care less if the dealer knows I’m smiling cause  I have a ‘21’ in my hand.

So if you continue to play BlackJack learn Basic Strategy and stick with it no matter what …… and you’ll leave that table with a big smile on yourr face 90%  of the time.

I usually win UNLESS that table is full of newbees who have no idea what Basic Strategy really is.

They will always fook it up for all …. Even though mathematically it can’t be so!
