Which is why, if you are there at the Arena, you can understand why Jay Cutler barely won over Victor. Victor was awesome, it went head to head against Jay- and it could of gone either way. In fact, Victor won the third round by one point, meaning 6 judges gave it to Victor while 5 gave it to Jay, but Jay took it in the head to head comparisons in the 4th round.

I can see why; he doesn't look nearly as impressive in the side to side comparisons.
Jay's poor conditioning was exaggerated. He really started to look better toward the end of the show.

I saw Victor Guest Pose this past May and was NOT impressed ... I REPEAT ... NOT IMPRESSED at all with his Physique. It's VERY oddly shaped ... I'm not hatin' on those of you that are Fans of Victor, but his Physique does nothing for me ... Wolf's, however, does quite a bit ! Great Bodybuilder !

Btw, I use to be a Victor Fan ... but that was until he added the Extra Mass ... $:-\$ ... IMHO, it just doesn't look good on his frame ... obviously, it does to the Judges.

Yes, I can see and argument being made for Melvin and Wolf placing higher, though personally I prefer Jay's "blocky" physique.
Jay didn't show up in his best conditioning but he just looks more imposing on stage next to Vic.
Maybe if Vic was a little drier the story would be different.

I also say Jay's waistline is exaggerated considering his shoulder width and overall mass.
A guy that size is just not going to have a 28 inch waist.
Jay's thighs and lats are ridiculous. He looks very powerful.

Even though jay wasnt at 100% victor wasnt either. So I dont know what everyone is complaining about, victor calves were full of synthol, his legs had no sweep, and his chest was lacking.

Jay has flaws as well, but victor had to be perfect to beat the reigning champ, and he was not perfect, plain and simple.

I don't feel Victor should have won, But Jay should not have won either. I know they wouldn't give the Sandow to Wolf, but, IMO, he was the best on the night.

Front latspread is a bad pose for Victor he doesn't look good in it at all , Wolf has a much better shot ! Vic's physique from some angles does look odd and his calves

after watching the show I came to the same conclusion as Ron it was very close and Jay slightly edged Victor out , it could have went either way but Jay was bigger and his conditioning improves slightly in the prejudging and if Victor was spot-on I think that could have tipped the scales in his favor.

For me it's the same : I don't get what's so special about victor....he's oddly shaped to say the least.

I've never understand comments like this. Being at the arena doesn't mean anything. 90% of the audience can't see the competitors without looking at the huge low resolution televisions and a great deal of them can't even see the televisions clearly.

Also - sold out show? I guess that explains why tons of seats were empty?

Ron, straight up...we've all seen the pics and most of us don't share your view. Do they 'magically' look better in person on stage?

If that's the case, I can only imagine what Dennis Wolf looked like!

The big screens were GREAT.

Although the seating isn't necessarily ideal for bodybuilding (I tend to prefer theater-style), the in-house big screens provided a high-resolution display for everyone in the arena. The guy operating the boom camera did a terrific job as well.

I have a feeling of Deja vu here. Cutler will keep this sandow streak going until they feel like it's time to give it to somebody else. This is the only thing that's killing bodybuilding, guys paid their dues, only to get fcuked top when it all matters.

vic doesnt look in the front lat spread becuase he has narrow shoulders. good waist to shoulder ratio, but his frame is narrow

I think it's easier to say what we DON'T see in him:

1. Wide waist

2. SMOOOOOOOTH arms

3. Uneven, oily, lumpy shoulders

4. Mushy lower back

5. Smooth glute/hamstring tie-ins

But other than that....yeah I don't know what the hell eveyone sees in Victor

I don't know what pics you were looking at, but the one's above show straited delts, ripped arms, and dialed in glutes and hams. Although his best ever condition was when he won the NOC. He's never duplicated that conditioning yet.
