The Beast looked awesome. The judges sent a clear message by rewarding her with the overall title... They are bringing the feminine look back to all areas of the women's competition this year. Congrats!
I hope Ike is correct in saying that "they" sent a CLEAR message for rewarding the feminine look. Why they couldn't figure out that the look of the women bodybuilders of the 80's is what they need to generate more raw revenue, hook a new generation of women wanting to bodybuild and promote the sport.

Women by 'design' are not meant to ever reach these levels of bodyfat under any circumstances. Men have more tolerance for it and have reached these levels more times in human evolution.
We are still very much conditioned to desire healthy looking females sporting a reasonable level of bodyfat - they have/had more chance of surviving, producing milk, being fertile etc..

She mostly ate 5-6 meals, 30g of protein each meal w/ green veggies and some fats here and there. I couldn't tell you exactly, BASTelli.

All I said was that for her to reach those levels of low bodyfat - and remember, a woman has an even harder battle to get that cut as she is fighting against hundreds of thousands of years of evolution - she would have had to starve herself. Clearly the amount of cardio she was doing meant she was in a severe calorie deficit.

In that pic you see of me I was very lean but I, myself don't run as much gear as you think. In that pic of me I ran primo at 200mg/week and 20mg/day of winstrol tabs. I used like 40-60mcg of clen the final 4 weeks. That isn't much.
On stage I looked even more tight. I had striations all over my hamstrings and vascularity in my quads. I did far less cardio than she did to.

Like Block says, try a steady regime of cardio 2 hours a day, mega strict low carb eating for month and months. Anyone [besides totally fat ppl of course] will get very lean. Most people have never done 2 hours cardio a day for one week, let alone weeks on end coupled with a strict diet low carb diet....one will melt when one does that. Try it for 2 weeks and see how much you lose...seriously.
I have never been anywhere near that lean, but get into reasonable shape. And I have crap metabolism, am not all that strict on diet, and forget the 2 hrs cardio a day, that's not happening. Having known my physique response, and many females I have worked with - I do believe it is possible to get that lean naturally with tremendous amounts of daily dedication.

Good post. I wonder why it is so hard to believe that a woman can actually put on some muscle. (shes only 115lbs ripped, ppl!!!)Alot of ones ability to get lean is determined by genetics. It appears to me that she might be one of those naturally lean people anyhow..an ecto-mesomorphic bodytype. With some hard work, and dedication she got some great results. Difficult to imagine, i know. ::)

A big congrats again to Cowan.. She is a natty....you can tell by the way she talks about what she puts in her body. I think it' s remarkable that she won a npc national title, naturally. As you know some people can't even make it to the NPC national level, let alone w/ out the "supps".. We actaLLy competed in our first show back in 2001... she's got some genetics on her, even back then.. youknow those track and field/ sister type of muscular lower body....... I've seen her train at the same gym, and she's done 225 squats, for an easy 12 reps, all the way down....

I don't think Ken WheeLer did the natural thing, in the 2001 or whatever year it was circa.. I saw her squat offseason. so this is a true story homie, i walk in the gym an she's hammerin away w/ 225.. i would say she wieghed around 135 ish.. I guess nobody knows if she's a natty or not, but her.. YOu can tell by the way she carries herself that she' against "using".. She won her WNBF pro card, i think that she has enough integrity to compete in a natural show as a 100% natty. She's been around, She's placed pretty well winnin a few NPC overall titles. I don't believe she ever used, it wouldn't make sense for her to compete in a natural show...I guess someone can throw up a vid on youtube, but that one change opinions (people will always have a opinion if someone is natural or not)....

I think you are missing the pt here GH15. I don't dispute your ideas here on body wt vs mass and strength of this female bodybuilder and others. What Jenny proves is that a male or female bodybuilder can NOT only build a great physique without a bunch of drugs, they can do well in contests.
If you have great genetics, you can get ripped and win or place well in your wt class.
If you don't have the genetics, you can still build a decent, lean physique but not do well in shows.
Since few of us are ever going to have a shot at being a pro, doesn't the "Jenny path" make more sense.
