I’ve been an Arnold schmoe for years now and I’ve seen hundreds of photos of those arms, our resident Schmoe expert Vince Basile even measured them larger than 19”.

When you look at Arnold as he was over 45 years ago today, even compared to the freaks that are currently out there, he is still impressive. Then it's not hard to imagine how dominate he was during his era. No wonder he became bored after just seven years as a pro. Nobody came close to him doing that time. Not even Sergio.

He remains the best ever. On drugs. No drugs I prefer Steve Reeves but Arnold compared to Reeves is still the winner.

Pellius I have said this many times in various Arnold threads ,forget about how much he weighed,his height,it’s the unique shape of his arms,pecs unmatched other than big Lou then his back jutted out and just right legs.he looked cartoonish in a drug way for that era but still not a drug look today chemically,he had great skin,no blood pressure look,not water puffed muscle.

End of thread. No one looked this good with a tiny waist like him. Even relaxed he looked amazing. The champs of today look like soft bloated messes now. If they stand without tensing it's not a pretty sight.

He had Great structure / Muscle Bellies / Training Response / Drug Response / Quality Drugs /
Drive / Mental attitude / Correct eating / positive environment & encouragement
A Whole Lot of Things Combined to look that Good.
That’s why he’s at the very top of all time Greats.

arnold is and was the very best. period. all of todays guys are nothing more than chemicals experiments gone bad. the insulin puffs them up and bloats them and makes them look so soft.( along with the gh) and the amount of drugs they take and the way they train is laughable. back in the day every guy had their "own" look. you knew who they were without seeing their faces. each guy took drugs ( small amounts compared to today) BUT they busted their ass in the gym. guys nowdays let the drugs do the work. back then the muscle was quality muscle. they got big but symetrical . they strived for proportion as well. they posed to show their body. guys nowdays have no clue. i remember arnold once saying how you need to switch your training up . people like franco and mentzer etc who always trained heavy have no "pop" in their poses. their body doesnt change much. but others who trained a bit lighter more reps sets etc had a big change when they posed. and its true. todays guys are just a bloated pile of smashed assholes.
