You need a license for that.. And it is more expensive.. Might as well buy a car for those moneyAnd a moped you can park right on the street, like a bike.. Parking space is scarce and expensive where I live.
Ok, in New York and many other states, any scooter with a 50cc or better engine like the Vespas need a motorcycle license and are treated the same way, so it makes sense just to move on to a used bike.
Allright, different play field then.Mopeds are good in metropolitan areas where you slide past the traffic on pavement or bicycle lanes for example. And you can tweak it to go pretty fast too and no one cares, you don't have a license plate on it.
Yamaha Zuma isn't too bad. 40 mph stock, generous storage, oversize tires for stability/offroad, 100 mpg.
