Here's my well considered opinion:

Gossip & Opinions 
A board where you can gossip about the bodybuilding and fitness industry, whatever is on your mind, and discuss all. No racist or foul language, and no baseless attacks.
Moderators: Max_Rep, MindSpin, Ron, Hedgehog
...the G&O is the crux of the board and should just be called what it is "The Main GetBig Board".

But the G&O needs much better moderating...
-Bluto posts for the sake of posting; his every bowel movement gets it's own thread
-Stark posts bullshit
-Pandaemonium; Squadfather; Kiwiol etc infect every thread with "You're gay!" tit for tat bullshit
-Daddywaddy/Johnny Falcon posts when high; the Annunaki, Nibiru and the deeper inner mysteries of existence probably shouldn't be pondered by a meth head... and DEFINITELY shouldn't be posted on a bodybuilding board
   ...there are others, but these are the most egregious offenders. 

Positive Bodybuilding Discussion & TalkPositive
A board with no attacks or negative posts for fans of the bodybuilding sport, whether it be professional or amateur. Discussions, news, info or whatever questions you feel like asking without getting flamed. Keep it positive, clean and bodybuilding oriented only.

...as a moderator on this board I can speak with a little authority here:
-way too many stickys
-not enough content; perhaps the natural trainers who have training logs elsewhere on GetBig should be encouraged to move them over to the Natural board
-this board also needs some articles; (I started writing these when the board was set up, but we didn't have the trolls scared off the board yet and the threads quickly degraded into ad hominem attacks)
-we also need a "pictures of members" thread for the naturals on GetBig
-we need more Q&A threads (this board has attracted some real talent; Marcus Reinhardt etc etc)
-this board should also be the official home of the Mr GetBig and have the Mr Getbig Board as a child board
   ...I'd happily get to work on these projects if I thought that a serious effort would be made to clean up the other boards.

...I personally feel that this should be a much bigger deal on GetBig, and I have suggestions that would make this contest much more entertaining:
-the reigning Mr GetBig should have a special background colour for his posts (Gold!)
-former Mr GetBigs should similarly have a special background colour
-the contest itself needs an overhaul (I've already pm'ed Rob/240 with lengthy detailed suggestions for this)
-the biggest shit-talkers on the site should be REQUIRED to enter the contest (perhaps this could be put to a vote/poll) or lose their beloved handles (and post counts)
-those who compete should have a special large avatar with their contest picture in it, their rank should also be reflected in their posts: for example "whateva" should have a larger avatar than other members with "Mr GetBig I" and "1st place Mr GB 1"
-those who promise or commit to competing in the show only to pull out should have an enforced "Quitter" avatar attached to their posts.

   The original alphabet board was created to allow the "Squad" somewhere to discuss their endless "You're gay!" thread hijacks... however it then transpired that the trolls didn't play well with others and had to be segregated.
   Now we have four separate boards so all the shut-ins can be moderators somewhere... the laughable thing is that a little judicious moderating would have nipped all this in the bud.

Perhaps some of the long term trolls simply need to go?

G&O doesn't need more moderation, it needs less.  When it was less, there was a lot more creativity flying around.  These days, anything that is offtopic but interesting is shipped off onto a different board and we're left with this "undergrowth" of repetitive nonsense. 

Sounds counter productive doesn't it?  Well, if you've ever been to a big board (and this is not a big board) you will notice that in the main discussion section, only the most interesting and highly posted in threads will manage to stay on the first page.  There is a natural "rolloff" of retardation due to less interest (less posting/bumping). 

What Ron fails to grasp is that there is room for genuine off topic discussion along with bodybuilding here and this board would be a lot better if more off topic stuff was allowed through (I'm talking about stuff that ends up in the general/religion etc sub boards - not bluto rhetoric).  There are limited things to discuss regarding bodybuilding.
