When I was back in highschool I used to go smoking in a city park with some black dudes and we'd use the n word, they'd make curry jokes, I would make welfare jokes etc. We never even took each other seriously and never gave a damn about what came outta our mouths.
It's only insecure people that get offended because in all honesty maybe Sharpton and other blacks do feel less than because of their nappy hair. :-\

The majority of media outlets in this country are owned and controlled by Whites and Jews. They are the ones who see to it that Sharpton gets a microphone and camera anytime he wants.
Many Blacks are critical of Sharpton, but the media can't seem to find them. Gee, I wonder why.

True indeed - when we don't take ourselves so seriously, life is much better. I agree 100% with that. It's great that so many of us are cool with one another that way.
I cannot say as much about Sharpton, but for the last 25 years, Jesse Jackson's mission has been to stay in power 'by any means necessary'. And what he picked up on long ago was that he could achieve that by convincing a large percentage of Black America that they were victims of everything under the sun.

I always thought his show was one of the weakest on radio. When I turned around and saw him on TV one day, I figured he must be blowing somebody. I gave his show a listen back when Stern used to own him on a daily basis. I wanted to see what was so bad about the guy and the reality was worse than I could've imagined. During the 2-3 weeks I tried to give him a fair shot, he spent a ton of time talking about his brother doing something on a ranch in New Mexico or wherever.
To this day, that is still some of the worst radio I've ever heard. Why NBC chose to give him a career, I do not know. Like Larry King, he brings nothing to the table.
But at least King has a hot-ass Mormon wife.

This is a over exaggerated firestorm based on some shit that Stern says like all the time or Opie and Anthony and such.... but his opponents are using the leverage that he gets presidential candidates, journalist and other 'broadcast aficionado' ad a way to make him personify part of the 'institution' of American culture. Imus never said that he was suppose to 'talk' any certain way, he makes fun of people for looking like shit of all color all the time but this IMUS thing is escalated because of other factors.
I am a firm believer of freedom of speech but I know Imus made fun of me, it would be IMHO a smart move to profit from it and milk it for what it's worth. Howard Stern to Imus: 'Say F**k You!'
Shock jock Howard Stern is no fan of embattled Don Imus, but he said he knows what his fellow talk show host should have told critics: "F**k you.”
"He's apologizing like a guy who got his first broadcasting job,” Stern told his Sirius Satellite Radio audience after Imus apologized for his derogatory comment about the Rutgers women’s basketball team.
"He should have said, "F**k you, it’s a joke.”
Former radio host Bob Grant – no stranger to controversy – also weighed in on the Imus flap, according to the New York Daily News.
Grant was fired from New York radio powerhouse WABC over a remark he made about Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, who was aboard a plane that crashed in Croatia in 1996. Grant told a caller: "My hunch is [Brown] is the one survivor. Maybe it’s because at heart I’m a pessimist.” After Brown was found dead, Grant’s WABC contract was terminated.
"Everything doesn’t come out the way you want,” he said regarding Imus’ comment.
"There were many times when I’d be going home and say to myself, ‘What the hell did I say that for?’ But that’s the pace you work at. That’s what people don’t take into account.”
