haha pluck it was painful reading some of what you wrote.
I just graduated with an english degree (thankfully $0 debt) because I couldn't see myself working some awful grind for 60 hours a week just to "live comfortably" at 50-100 grand a year. i thought "hey with a degree from a good university i should be able to at least make 40 grand doing whatever, right?"
fast forward two years of getting fired from random $10-15 / hr jobs and I'm more than ready to take the debt plunge for a marketable skill (computer science, in my case).
