I'm excited for this movie.
The original movie was pretty entertaining and Arnold being in his prime certainly helped, but I think Colin Farrell can do a good job and with today's special effects, we might have a decent film.
He's also pretty damn good looking and has a nice penis.

Just saw the new trailer. Looks and feels like combo of Matrix, Blade-Runner and IRObot style visuals and a bit of Bourne to finish it all off.
I dont know in what or if it connects to the favourite Arnie flick but hoping they are taking the story all the way onstead of just sfx fest galore.
I cant wait for Prometheus with real sets, small corridors, mind games and a terrific story with revelation and grandeur
Actually have to say that the trailer looks good and I think they do have some things in there that would 'tip the hat' to the arnie one. Like the security scene, the fight with quaid and 'wife'.....

nothing in this trailer we havent alrdy seen in just about 50 differents past sci fi movies...they just put it all together -again- and call it a "new" movie. Sad. Cause the scenari is a remake, and all the elements of the movie put together still all come from different movies...blade runner, 5th element, etc just to name the most obvious.

x2. Remakes should be limited to classic films/scripts that influence a generation of audiences. For example: Imitation of Life, Cape Fear, Mildred Pierce, etc. Total Recall does not qualify. Not classic. Did not influence a generation. By the time a film is remade everyone associated with the original should be dead for at least 10 years. This Recall too obviously recalls (pun intended) other films... The Fifth Element, iRobot, and The Matrix for example. >:(

Meh it might be ok if they play up the original theme. The predator remake was great really went a bit deeper than leopold could ever do. Total recall was a great idea it was side tracked by leos shit acting.

When you see stuff like this you really do think Hollywood is running out of ideas. There are so many great stories to tell. Why do they keep telling the same ones and marketing them the same way? Case in point:
