this is just so sad.  i read that she died on monday of lung cancer.

Thanks for posting that. I admire and respect her for the strength and support she gave to her husband through his long illness. She was a very loving mother and wife. Her and her husband speaking out in support of stem cell research when the "right" were starting to demonize it was a gift of courage that had rippiling effects for us all. It is a reminder to us all there is a lot more to life than trophies and contests. :'(
