The chinamen really got the Americanos by their balls. They still have a very large amount of American bonds in their portfolio if I'm not mistaken (hence why they get so mad when US and A try to dilute the dollar value).

Chinamen also have, in absolute value, the largest amount of foreign currency kept in their reserve ($3 trillion a few years back).

The US economy is based on selling cheap chinese products for profit, the china economy is based on making those cheap products.  They are in bed together.  Without the other they both would have economies that just collapse.

If you believe the 'official' economic numbers coming from China I've got a bridge to sell you.

Fellas did you know that Chinese buyers spent $ 11 billion last year  alone on US real estate?
Did you know that new visa rule for chinese students and tourists will make it much easier for them to buy residential and commercial real estate in US?
Same here in Australia, they spent around $6 billion buying everything and anything, from large residential developments, factories, farms...
Similar in Europe. All together they spent $50 billion on real estate throughout the world last year.
That speaks volumes.

UCLA is close to 50% asian poputlation now and not american-asian but overseas asians.  They pay full tuition so its more profitable for the colleges to cater to them.  Some premier schools put caps on asians because the white Alum felt threatened.  When the real estate market crashed cities like NYC, San Diego, San Francisco actually went up because of the heavy influx of asians coming in and buying homes ALL CASH and not caring about the price.

There is economy will start to stall in 10-15 years, so I wouldn't get overly wound up.

1.  China cooks the books
2.  We all heard this same stuff about Japan in the 80s.  Look at Japan now.
3.  All the newly wealthy Chinese are moving to USA and Canada because they can't trust China.

Nice economic cycle. Obama slowed that by having the longest economic recovery in US history. He's useless and a punk.

The jobless rate is steady at 5.8 percent, the stock market's roaring, the housing market is stirring and the rescued auto industry is motoring.

Gas is down to $2.71 a gallon, according to an American Automobile Association average, leaving a little extra cash for families this Christmas.

So far this year, over the first 11 months of 2014, our economy has created 2.65 million jobs
That's more than in any entire year since the 1990s. Our businesses have now created 10.9 million jobs over the past 57 months in a row. And that's the longest streak of private sector job growth on record

THANK YOU , MR, PRESIDENT

So don't buy plastic crap.  Not because you're a patriot.  Just because it's plastic crap.

90% of the Chinese economy has been plastic crap based for a long time now and they still can't make a Tab A that doesn't snap off when inserted into Slot B.  It's a plastic crap empire.

I would say your statement is not quite accurate, yet they produce vast amounts of plastic crap that is low quality, but much of the high quality products are being produced there.

Chinese can make quality products, there are many factories with the skill and the ability, but they charge for it. You get what you pay for.

For example all Japanese brand TV's are produced in China, Sony and many other premium brands included. The only japanese company that still makes its own screens is Pioneer.

Apple products are made in China, they are a premium product (even if I don't like them)

Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen all now have manufacturing plants in China, these are premium products. (even though I hate the new generation of shitty Americanized plasticky Mercs...thanks Chrysler)

Every level of quality is produced in China.

Their reputation for corner cutting so precedes them that western companies make a point of reassuring buyers with labels like "Made in China to our exacting standards."  No one says "Made in Germany but we kept a close eye on those shifty krauts so it's ok, we promise."

Their economy is a runaway train.  They have to cut corners (usually materials quality since it's hard to spot).  If they don't there are a million other squinty little bastards lined up who will and the quality producer who used the more expensive means to make something good is out of business.  Sure, there's no such thing as perfection.  West or East, a maker is going to balance product quality against cost.  Same as anywhere, except today's China is the pressure cooker version.

To say they make cheap & nasty at the bottom end and excellent quality at the top end is simplistic.  What they do is make stuff that's barely, barely good enough (but not quite) for the level of quality stipulated.  Barely/almost good enough for cheap & nasty and barely/almost good enough for higher standards.  Again, if you don't then the next guy will.  That's not the same as balancing cost and quality.  It's a lowest common denominator level of workmanship.  That is why you get the lowest possible quality for your price range from Chinese products.  Add the smiling western salesman's markup and you are absolutely not getting what you're paying for from China.

China's economy would crash if we stopped buying their crap and started making stuff again in the US. First step would be a heavy tariff on all goods coming from there. It won't happen because of the loans we have from China might be called. Right now China forgives payments as long as we keep buying their junk. We need a President that will stand up to China and say to them they have an unfair trade advantage because of their slave wages factories. Fuck you we will pay your loans when we get to it.

We can't even make a can opener anymore in the US. We use to have factories everywhere when I was a kid. When I was a kid the overwhelming majority of clothes we wore were made in America. Now I own no clothes that are made here. I hear young people say who wants to work in a factory? I want a corner office that comes with a secretary as my job. Then they end up working a cash register after college because the economy stinks. One factory employs truck drivers, security guards, janitors, workers, accountants, secretaries, white collar guys, clerks and pays taxes.  The economy grows and thrust other jobs in the economy open up.

Generally true but China also has a lot of fuck ups. A lot of people don't like doing business there due to the language problems and the Chinese fuck up problem.

Learn the language, or stay out of the game.
