The truth comes out.  Your bullying had nothing to do with his success, he was just simply a better human being than you.  He was simply more intelligent, articulate and well rounded than you were.  Perhaps that's why you singled him out, his abilities reminded you of what a fucking loser you were and it ate you up, you couldn't stand it, so you tried to dominate him.  But the feelings of insecurity remained didn't they, it didn't work, and slowly but surely you are coming to the realisation that you are a massive loser.
