I'm very happy after looking at my 401K today. January was a great month. But, last January was also great. The rest of the year however was the fucking pits. Lets hope history doesn't repeat.

I'm with you on that. Oregon PERS depends on good investment returns to lower their current unfunded liability, which happened following the crash of 2008.

January was the only great month in 2018 for your portfolio maybe, however you have it allocated.

2018 was a great year for US stocks up until the last three months of the year. You may want to revisit your allocations.
