Which way does water flush when one is :
1) exactly along the equator?
2) magnetic north and south (which i believe are located along the axis of rotation)?

Straight into your mouth you little runt.

go back to the gossip hun..this is beyond you..
you have self esteem problems of magnanimous proportions. Go practice your best pouty lip smile in the mirror or something :)
-
bump..someone got to know the answer to this >:(

thankyou! :)

You're indebted to me now!
You must convert 1000 muslims to athism to restore balance to the universe!
-
a point on the equator will travel 25000 miles during the course of a day..
traveling 1,030 miles an hour..convert to m/sec and thats quite a few meters..(i dont wanna convert)
soo when ya jump in the air why dosen't the earth slip by under ya?

lol..you forget i'm lazy ya fucker. ...plus i have a hefty inheritance coming my way...my family is muslim...ya think i wanna lose that? :-\

ok 460m/sec..

Objects on the earth are also moving at this velocity including the atmosphere. This speed is almost constant. If it accelerated we'd know about it.
Test: Throw an apple in the air in your car (watch it's decent), or watch someone poor a drink (moving at a constant speed)

good answer! ...k lets see if i can think of a more complex one...
if i somehow devised a box where absolutely no sound escaped from and put a mouse init with a piece of poisoned meat. then i put the box a little distance from you. as an observer...is the mouse dead or alive to you?
-
Alive until the point it either suffocates or eats the meat?
I'm guessing this is a trick question which my tiny brain can't compute :(
-
No sound = vacuum?
Dies from suffocation?

nah..he's just in a quantum state where he is BOTH alive and dead....
when ya look at him ya collapse the wave function (wave particle duality) and he HAS to pick a state..

watch this 3 min vid and it'll make be clearer

awesome though isn't it...these were actually the beginnings ..back in 92 that led me not to believe in god anymore..

what does the box being sound proof have anything to do with this? ???

cause then people come up with silly answers like " maybe i can hear the mouse die" etc etc..so i made it sound proof.. :D

Aaah the classic "double slit" experiment.
Quite amazing indeed. Makes you think.
I'd love to get into an obcessive self educational phase and learn more about quantum physics... BUT I'M JUST TOO DAMN LAZY :'(

Thats an interesting way to look at it, but it sounds absurd.

well how about this...
yanno out in free space there is no such thing is empty space..."Virtual" YES "virtual" (make believe) particles pop out and annilihate eacother all the time (a particle and its anti particle)..however we DO measure the gamma ray bursts given out when this happens..and black holes are detected because of such ...

If I got £1 every time i'd watched that i'd have £10!
It's on C4 in the UK all the time in the morning.

You mean matter and anti-matter don't you?
Use the right terminology!

yeah i do nordic..gogle hawkings radiation..oh crap..better yet..watch the movie..

Thanks for sharing that info... interesting stuff.
But I fail to see how the mouse example would have anything to do with quantum physics?

the basic principle of quantum mechanix says that a particle exists in all states at the same time..
ie
a particle does not travel from point a to point b...it exists in all possible positions between point a and b...ONLY when you observe it its forced to chose a place somewhere between point a and point b..and the probability of finding it in a particular place changes..

alright... lets just understand that I've got some readin to do on this shit ;D
was that chinese, or japanese?
