If you could go back and change your vote, would you?
« on: June 30, 2009, 03:42:19 AM »
Just watching a documentary, Fear and Loathing in Gonzovision, where John Dean says there was a national poll asking people if they had all the information on Nixon now when they voted for Nixon how would they vote then?  He said the results were almost the same.  So I figured I'd ask, are there any votes you would change knowing what you know today.  In all of the elections you've voted in, is there a single vote you would chance knowing what you know now?

Yes when I was 19 I voted in the local elections for a party I really wish I hadn't, guess i was dumb and impressionable at the time and bought the rhetoric...I'm actually so ashamed of it I wont say what party it was.

I predict millions will be feeling exactly that way once their electric bills go up by 90% and their health care benes get taxed.

I have never regretted the votes I have cast; it is the votes I didn't cast in my formative years that I regret.

I find this hard to fathom.  It's not like asking what you had for breakfast 2 weeks ago.  Since 96 there have only been 3 elections.  So this is 4 times you've done something with a big lead-up lasting months and you don't remember?

Honestly, I remember wanting to vote for Harry Browne but dont remember if at the last minute I pulled it for Dole.  I probably voted for Dole, but dont remember.

I just remember being pissed off how bad Dole was.

Harry Browne was a great speaker!

He has a quote about the govt:

"The govt breaks your legs, gives you the crutches, and expects you to be thankful you can walk."
