I can agree with that.  :) If you'll notice, I wasn't wearing posing trunks in the picture. I thought about it, but...

USPF. 275 pound class. Think I weighed in at 262 that morning.

Did you have to walk out the squat?
How did you place?

733!!? That's a ridiculous amount of weight to have on your back. Good stuff, tommy.

Yes. The USPF had jack-racks, way back then. Walking out, setting up and then walking back in was often a big issue. Many heavy squaters were unable to walk back or set up with weights they could probably lift.

I remember I placed 2nd that day. I was a very light 275er, and was just there to put together a qualifing total for the Nationals.

Thanks my man. I actually went a little heavier (766), several months and many MG's later.

I'm just curious, it's an amazing lift in any case. :)

Sides?

Adorning fans & huge envelopes stuffed with cash.

Actually... nothing much. I'd have more hair today most likely. I was prone to petechial hemorrhages, thus the blood stop under my eye in the picture. All things considered; no long term issues.

LOL. That's a phrase I use in baseball -ie. he would have homered if took another 5 mils; or caught the ball. I stole it from Jim Bouton's book 'Ball Four.' If you haven't read it, it is my Oprah Book Clubtmbook of the month. It is a great book.  :)

Odd- for 6 months in 2005, Oprah and I both weighed exactly the same, 238 pounds. Serendipity?
