Like someone else said....people are just naming bands they don't like....not ones that are overrated.

Oasis....now that's an overrated band...because they really have not lived up to the hype and really didn't do jack-shit to begin with.

By the same token you can't say U2 is overrated...They have produced 4 or 5 seminal records, still make decent music and fill arenas year after year after year.

Maybe you don't like them, but they aren't "overrated' by any stretch, they are a huge band and live up to the accolades

Actually, the mid 70's were a bit of a wash for the Stones: Keef was into drugs big time, and Mick was busy playing the celebrity - quality suffered, although Some Girls near the end of the decade was a return to form.

"something" is an awesome song....George was really starting to come into his own at that time.....he also wrote "Here comes the sun" which is an awesome song, and I liked "while my guitar gently weeps"

Songs like 'something' and 'because' are easy listening pop, not rock music.

Their most critically acclaimed albums were 1972 or earlier.  It was downhill from exile on main street.

Kiss were never received very well by the critics, so i don't consider them 'rated' to begin with.
