Phil is 34 already. Winning six more would put him at 40 when he won #9.
Ronnie was I think 40 and 41 when he won his last two but I like to imagine he is the exception there. No other Olympia winner has won at 40 years old.

This is how a Mr. O should look in a tank top. Granted, ronnie is precontest, but you get the picture. Little Phil looks like a little boy. Although he deserved to win, its sad that he is the mr. olympia. His physique does not represent a true mr. O physique. Just represents the best that is out there now, which is not saying much.

Kia stays big and bigger all year and his gut has grown and grown and he looks stupid now. phil on the other hand has taken a different approach for his MR.O prep than past winners of the last 15yrs. phil obviously goes on a cruise dose and keeps his bodyfat low, like they did in the 70's 80's and early 90's. this has kept his gut from growing like a pregnant lady and it allows him to have to use less gear for his body to respond.
I'm not a phil fan but he is smarter than alot of the top pro's in his approach for the title, especially kia.

A fitness/figure chick that my wife and I have become friends with (wife trains with her now) was telling us that they ran into Phil in a gym up here.. and that she had no clue he was Mr O, she just thought he was a gymrat until her friend started creaming her pants. Apparently in a t-shirt he just disappears, she said his forearms looked massive but until he lifted his shirt no one would have ever thought he was very big.

lee haney and many others have been called small in clothes.......many bouncers look huge in clothes......it only matters what you look like in trunks!
there is a huge difference between being mr Olympia and looking impressive in the club or just out and about......you couldn't really tell what yates looked like in gym sweats......but in trunks and up on stage you could tell he was mr Olympia!!!!

He deliberately violated the rules over and over, even while a judge told him to get his ass back in line. That was a conscious decision. It doesnt get much more sad. Its a beauty pageant ffs, hes not on the court squaring off with aggressive physical players where the entire game is about pushing the envelope.

I understand exactly why he won , because hes clearly better according go the IFBB judging criteria. Kai has serious structural issues, spotty conditioning, and balance problems. Wolf also has balance issues and is incomplete. the rest dont matter.

he is unimpressive to people who do not know bodybuilding, as in the insertion point, the deep lines and the sheer conditioning from top to bottom, the difference in bone girth and small joints size to the peak of the muscle bellies, this is what Phil Heath excels at and that basically means he has the least amount of flaws and in fact the is the most impressive to those who know bodybuilding..
The most shredded of all bodybuilders has at least one part that is not shredded like Flex Wheeler who was peeled yet smooth glutes and hams. Phil has no smooth part, all muscle and proportions are peeled.

In person he is humble and even when bombarded and overwhelmed at expos he takes the time to address everyone without even rushing them unlike other pros, he is very modest and professional.

the time i meet him, was a nice guy ,shook my hand , thanked me for coming, and took a pic with everyone that was there , Phil is a good guy for the sport and is the best bodybuilder for this era of Social Media exposure, the guy likes to be flashy and knows how to show it.

Overall, it probably wont be argued that he did not have the best physique on stage on Olympia day. Granted, some people believe it was Kai. With that said, he definitely had the top 2 physiques (if you include Kai) on that day.
I think what people are arguing is the downfall of bodybuilding to the point where someone like Phil is Mr. Olympia. Little Phil is lucky he is competing in the 21st century. He would NOT be Mr. O if he was competing in any other era.
So, yes, did he have the best physique come olympia day? Yes. Does that mean he has a Mr. Olympia body? Well, he has an Olympia body for this time period, but if you compare him to other Mr. O's, it doesn't stand up to what a Mr. O physique should look like. If you could envision a Mr. O physique, would it be little Phil's? Probably not.

2013 was different story, Kai needed to be 100% shredded and Phil was in real danger. He wasnt so he lost again. 2013 AC Europe was robbery. Kai won that show. Repeat AC Europe on olympia stage 2014.

It helps remove the slight wrinkles on his lower rhomboids when stands more upright. But, at the same time, it makes the upper back loose a tad of detail.

I remember that Roelly's formal coach (Sibil/grandma) told him to 'open' his shoulder blades, which was good advice for a near-perfect back double bi pose.
