Title: What if 15 Repub potentials sign a "refuse to debate if Trump is there" pact???
Post by: 240 is Back on July 21, 2015, 04:27:41 PM
Nobody has mentioned this, but I think it could be a real possibility.

What if they decide to UNITE and decline because of his unprofessional nature?  Could be a make-break moment.  Sure, 24% of the repubs, and most of the repub base, are slurping Trump every chance they get.  But he's SERIOUSLY bad for the GOP party brand.  He pulled lindsey graham into a meltdown, where he called trump a jackass.

What if the party, and the 15 far-lagging-opponents, decide they don't care what the voters want and try to freeze him out?

Probably wouldn't matter.  The media loves him and he'll still get his say in on each and every issue.

WHICH media loves him?  Dos equis keeps saying the lib media loves him, and yes, they trash him 1/2 of every show.

BUT Rush talks about him half the show too... and announced today he REFUSES to join the left in attacking trump in any way.

BOTH the left and the right are claiming the other's media is trashing trump.  I see MSNC doing it 24/7, and I don't see FOX doing it.  They're complicit with this liberal plant.

Moving him up to 32% in the polls.

The Republican party is finally forced to admit the "base" they've allowed to fester is biting them in the ass.  poo-poo'ing science, winking at racism, and letting the RINO side quietly borrow $ for obama while the base screamed about social issues... Suddenly they have an emotion-driven third of the party that just kinda wants to watch the entire political structure burn down.

What for, right now, he's setting the Agenda.  The other candidates seem to have to follow him.

Dennis Rodman: We need a businessman like Donald Trump

Rodman appeared on Donald Trump’s NBC reality television show “The Celebrity Apprentice” in 2009 and was the fifth contestant fired, of 16 total contestants fired by the 2016 Presidential hopeful.

Trump, according to Rodman, once offered Rodman a plane ride to North Korea, which he declined. But the NBA Hall of Famer ended up going anyway and befriended its leader Kim Jong-Un, saying about the North Korean leader, “That little kid is changing North Korea for the better.”

Later, Trump denied that claim and tweeted out that North Korea is the “last place on Earth” he would want to go.

the last 2 businessmen presidents?

Dubya Bush & Hoover.    Great Depression I and II.

You can't cut the dog stocks/firms when you're president, like you can when you're CEO.

POLL: DONALD TRUMP LEADS GOP FIELD BY DOUBLE-DIGITS, WITH DOUBLE THE SUPPORT OF JEB BUSH

GOP hopeful and real estate billionaire Donald Trump has double the support of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and leads the pack by 14 points, according to a new Economist/YouGov poll.

According to the poll, 28 percent of registered Republican voters picked Trump as their first choice, meaning Trump has nearly doubled his support in two weeks.

Only 14 percent chose Bush as their first pick, though The Hill notes it’s expected he will win the nomination.

Thirteen percent chose Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. Neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson rings in at seven percent, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) at five, Sens. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) at four. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie garnered three percent support each.

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry trails at two percent, along with South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal earned only 1.2 percent support.

Trump, however has the highest unfavorability rating of all the candidates. His tough talk annoys some voters while attracting other hardcore supporters.

“Florida Senator Marco Rubio is now the best-liked GOP candidate. 63 percent of Republicans view Rubio favorably, and just 17 percent are unfavorable,” writes pollster Kathy Frankovic. “Trump’s 42 percent unfavorable rating from Republicans is the highest negative rating given to a GOP contender from partisans, though it is just about matched by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s 39 percent negative assessment. More Republicans like Trump than like Christie, who gets a 46 percent favorable rating from members of his own party.”
