and if so, does it help your progress?

Usually there are three scenarios where I do that.

1) Knees/elbows are killing me.
2) I'm feeling to tired or exhausted (particularly if the carbs are low).
3) I lack access to a legitimate gym (i.e. the multi-station I had to use at my girlfriend's apartment complex back in 2001). Then, it's time for pre-exhaust supersets.

is the less weight with more reps taken til failure? if yes, then that's still "heavy" training in my book

or maybe instead of saying "heavy" training i should say hard training, or training till failure

a light or moderate session would be taking about 70% of whatever your max weight/rep scheme is for a particular exercise

so for me and barbell curls i do 115 for about 5 or 6 reps till failure, so a light-moderate session would be 80 pounds for 5 reps, well short of failure
For what?

For what?

because i'm fucked in my head and i literally can't take a fucking day off from the gym

so if i train light then those days would be like "active recovery" days

yeah i know you'll tell me to take days off, but i can't

i've now trained 15 days in a row

i'm curious, what's your squat at right now? weight and reps?

also what technique do you use?

i put my feet out pretty wide, but i put the bar high and i keep my torso upright

I change week to week depending on how I feel. Sometimes low reps with higher weight (320ish) and sometime lower weight with high reps (225ish). Other time I'll do front squats, but I always keep my feet pointed slightly outward and approx shoulder width with the bar high. I'm finding that low calories mixed with long work days really leaves me with no energy these days. I'm in my mid 40's.

Same here, I rarely take off days... I go lighter when I'm feeling ragged and do four exercises for ten sets of ten with little rest. Just using one plate a side on the hammer machines or 100 lbs on the stack

numbers dont mean shit.

bodyfat percent, weight, arm size, it dont mean shit.

ppl here have said my arms look like 20inches lean, but they arent.

you can put some ppl with same sized arm as mine, same bodyfat next to me and they wont look the same.

do not vaguely accosiate your hysique with zanes, dont be ridiculous, zane has 30pounds of pure shredded muscle on you.maybe even 40.

zane was pund for pound, height for height, bigger than me, now do the math.

but numbers dont mean shit, its all about how it looks.

zane is the most aestical athlethe of all times, easy amongst the best looking 5 physiques of all times, and was mr o, do not even remotely compare yourself to him, just dont do it.

i'm not comparing myself to him dumbass

and yes numbers do make a difference when you compare yourself to yourself ;)

p.s. ma man che says that my physique is better than yours ;)

give me a few more months of training hard and heavy with barbells and then see what you say ;)
