Two men probed in Boston Marathon bombings cleared by investigators

The two men whose photos were being circulated internally among police have been cleared as authorities determined that neither man had any role in the Boston Marathon bombings.

Investigators have now cleared the two men whose pictures were circulated last night in an email among law enforcement officials, sources told The Post today.

Authorities determined neither had any information or role in Monday’s attacks at the Boston Marathon.

Wow, this is big, back to square one again. This one is slipping away it seems.

Did they botch the investigation somehow? With all those cameras and witnesses how are they still completely clueless?

Didn't CNN verify that FBI agents said they had clear pictures of the bombers from a department store accross the street that caught them placing the bags on the floor before they blew???

Authorities have clear video images of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings carrying black bags at the explosion sites and are planning to release the images today in an appeal for the public’s help in identifying the men, according to an official briefed on the case.

The official said that the two suspects were seen separately on videotape — one at each of the two bombing sites, which are located about a block apart.

The official, who spoke this morning on the condition of anonymity, said the best video has come from surveillance cameras on the same side of Boylston Street as the explosions. The official said the widely reported Lord and Taylor surveillance camera, which is across the street, and snapshots from individual cellphone camera users, have not provided the clearest images.

reminds me of newtown...the media TOTALLY screwed up.

they put the shooters brothers name on TV, instead of the REAL shooter. they had a video on him getting into a police car with handcuffs. they even went as far as to make a total trash story of how he drove all the way to NY and back to CT to do the shooting, just pure nonsense. none of it was true.

now they aired this poor guys name and picture( as it says on his facebook page) just because hes Muslim(im guessing from his name) or a "saudi national", and happend to be near the scene, wrong place at the wrong time. its a shame, i am sure if a muslim had been one of thr 3 that died in that blast they would have automatically said its suicide bombing, even though they could be a victim like anyone else.
