This article, "Hit with a Hammer" really hurt Jones's feelings, and it cemented a lot of dislike for Hatfield - https://joshstrength.com/2019/10/popular-training-systems/ . Hatfield picked at him in print, and each version of the Hatfield and Jones training story got worse and worse when Arthur would re-tell it.

Sure, but each successive retelling got worse for Hatfield, so the truth is probably in the middle. Both men had a lot of sour grapes for each other.

I remember reading when he squatted 1003 he did 1050 on his next attempt but was red lighted for depth. And he forgot to put on his belt.

Like arcidi. He trained at a gym in Calgary and the two flights of stairs would cause him to lose his breath.
