Looks like Lee was 51. That's too young, IMO. He was also competitive up until only very recently, so he didn't have cancer very long.

I wonder how people cope with being given such a diagnosis, then dying within the span of only about a year.

Shawn Perrine's cancer was quite similar to that. I found it very odd that he died so young, also from a fast and aggressive form of cancer. Shawn lived an extremely healthy lifestyle from everything I was aware of, and he only weighed about 165, with very low body fat, at around 5'8.5".

I guess there is a lot of [bad] luck involved with cancer for some people. I am not surprised when some people get it - but with others, it's like it has no rhyme or reason. It seems to me like bad luck is definitely a big part of getting cancer for some people.
