Don't compare Bush to Hussein.

Bush has flaws.

But he's no dictator, and he's part of checks and balances - he's the Executive Branch.

no it has not... a dictator ship does not start simply when over 50% do not agree of the action of their Government THEY themself elected.
A dictator ship starts when one person calls himself now the supreme leader.

Bush has called himself "The Decider". yesterday, congress asked Atty Gen. Alberto Gonzalez (Bush's former lawyer, and friend who suppressed his DUI arrest before the 2000 election) to define specifically what Congress' powers were at this point.

Some are calling congress 'cowards' for not checking Bush sooner. The problem is, what do you think will happen if Congress does cut spending. Bush will, and has, made war decisions based upon political circumstances. he has handcuffed and replaced generals based upon elections and polls. (even though that same 1000 would have died at a slower rate under Bush without the eventual goals being achieved).

I don't believe it's a police state, nor do I believe a dictatorship.

The tide has turned. Congress is empowered again. Right now, CNN's headling "Rising GOP Revolve over bush's Conduct on War". White House and GOP leadership doing everything it can to fight it, but it's happening anyway because senators want to keep their jobs in 2008 and 2010 and saw their comrades get voted out for war support.

The checks and balances are working again. Bush seriously tried, but thanks to the freedom of information the web and people with active feet and mouths have provided, the blind support and unquestioned rallying for war has been undermined by iraq and 911 information, which has cast doubt on bush's credibility.
