Podesta's SIL got six-figure fee lobbying Clinton's State Dept same time Podesta was employed there
Fox News ^ | October 27, 2016 | James Rosen / FR Posted by jazusamo
EXCLUSIVE: John Podesta is best known as Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman and the individual from whose private account WikiLeaks is presently publishing some 50,000 hacked emails.

(Podesta was Bill Clinton's COS, Obama's onetime Counsellor, a foundation employee, a State Dept employee, today Hillary's 2016 campaign chair.)

Daily batches have laid bare the inner workings and tensions of the Clinton campaign in an unprecedented way, while also offering insights into the operations of the Clinton Foundation and the State Department in the years when Clinton, now the Democratic presidential nominee, served as secretary of state.

At that time, when Clinton was traveling to a record number of foreign countries, Podesta, a former White House chief of staff under President Clinton, held dual titles at the State Department:

<><> as a senior advisor – entitled to an annual salary of $130,000 never paid him, the department maintains – and,

<><> as a member of a prestigious foreign policy advisory board Secretary Clinton created.

Records obtained from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management show Podesta’s tenure at State extended from Sept. 25, 2011 to Jan. 4, 2014.

For several months in 2012, Clinton’s final year as secretary of state, Raytheon, the leading defense contractor, hired Podesta’s sister-in-law, Heather Podesta, as a lobbyist, federal records show.

Raytheon was looking to enlarge its share of foreign military sales – transfers of advanced weapons systems to other countries that are reviewed and approved by the Department of State, then implemented by the Department of Defense – and was beefing up its lobbying operation to accomplish that goal before Secretary Clinton left office.

The FBI will reportedly reopen its investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server after learning of "the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation," Utah congressman Jason Chaffetz said on Friday.

NBC News also reported that the FBI will reopen its investigation. In a letter to Congress, FBI director James Comey wrote that the investigative team in charge of looking into Clinton's server briefed him on Thursday on new emails they found that might contain classified information.

"The FBI cannot assess whether or not this material may be significant," Comey wrote.

The FBI is probing new emails related to Hillary Clinton, FBI Director James Comey said in a Friday letter.

"In previous congressional testimony, I referred to the fact that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had completed its investigation of former Secretary Clinton's personal email server. Due to recent developments, I am writing to supplement my previous testimony," Comey wrote.

This story is developing. Please check back for further updates.

Clinton house renovated without permits: records

NEW CASTLE - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton have been renovating a house they bought next to their Chappaqua residence without several required local permits, according to building department records.

An in-ground swimming pool at 33 Old House Lane — the 3,631-square-foot, ranch-style house the Clintons bought for $1.16 million in August — had been back-filled and covered with gravel, according to an October report from town Building Inspector William Maskiell.

Maskiell, who wrote that he visited the Clintons' home the day after receiving a complaint around Oct. 5, said as he headed to the basement to talk to the contractor, he noticed the kitchen, floors and walls appeared to have been recently renovated and new electrical fixtures were being installed in the ceiling. The person who complained was not identified.

Maskiell said he told the contractor that permits were required.

"During conversation I was told that the owners wanted to have all work done and finished by Thanksgiving and were quite adamant about it and what had started as a paint job turned into this," Maskiell's Oct. 17 inspection report said.

Maskiell said in an interview that sometimes homeowners come in to file for a permit, but the majority of the time it is either an architect or contractor.

"The homeowners have to sign the applications because it's their property," Maskiell said. "If you own the house, you're responsible on everything that goes on with that house."

Permit issues that continue to go unaddressed can lead to fines against a homeowner and/or a contractor, he said.

The Journal News/lohud.com obtained the building department records through a state Freedom of Information Law request.

Among the documents needed at the 33 Old House Lane property are a demolition permit for the pool and certification that the material used to fill the pool is not from a contaminated source.

There have been reports that 33 Old House Lane would be a getaway home for the Clintons' daughter, Chelsea, and her family.

At 15 Old House Lane, a home at the end of a cul-de-sac where the Clintons have lived on and off since buying it for $1.7 million in 1999, there are some outstanding permits, including an electrical inspection at a library/gym in an accessory building and a sprinkler sign-off by an engineer and the town water department, according to the building inspector’s October reports.

The FBI is reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) tweeted Friday morning: "FBI Dir just informed me, 'The FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation.' Case reopened."

Moments later, NBC News reported that the agency was reopening the investigation and shared a letter from FBI director James Comey informing key lawmakers of the investigation.

FBI obtains warrant to search emails as Hillary Clinton's 12-point lead over Donald Trump 'wiped out': Monday US election briefing

The FBI has obtained a warrant to begin searching newly discovered emails belonging to top Clinton aide Huma Abedin. Agents are attempting to examine as many of the emails as possible before election day on November 8. However the fact there are 650,000 emails has led to fears that the new probe could last weeks, and, if Hillary Clinton wins the election, hamper the early part of her presidency.  “The process has begun,” a federal law enforcement official said.

Federal authorities reportedly battled over direction of Clinton email investigation
foxnews.com ^
Posted on 10/31/2016, 7:09:24 AM by RoosterRedux

For months, FBI field offices in Washington Los Angeles, Little Rock, Ark., and New York had been gathering information about the Clinton Foundation and other possible public corruption cases and one tied to McAuliffe. The Journal reported that a presentation of their finding to the Justice Department in February didn’t go well.

“That was one of the weirdest meetings I’ve ever been to,” one person in the meeting said.

Some said that the Justice Department immediately started off skeptical about the whole thing, while others believe the FBI didn’t present enough compelling information about the Clinton Foundation to justify an intensified investigation. FBI officials maintained that they were in their right to pursue more aggressive techniques, while Justice Department officials said they wouldn’t authorities such matters.

*snip*

Further down the FBI chain of command, agents painted a darker image. They told the Journal they were ultimately told to “stand down” and weren’t allowed to take a more aggressive pursuit and they heard that the order was coming straight from McCabe himself.

Yahoo holds key to FBI probe of Hillary-Huma emails
wnd.com ^ | 10/31/2016 | Jerome R. Corsi
Posted on 10/31/2016, 7:49:05 AM by rktman

Yahoo.com holds the key to determining just how severely Huma Abedin and Hillary Clinton may have violated national-security laws with emails that Huma forwarded to herself at humamabedin@yahoo.com, which ended up on a laptop owned by her husband, former Congressman Anthony Weiner.

The FBI has the legal authority to force Yahoo to disclose whether IPs belonging to third parties, including foreign third parties, had access to read in real time – and in non-redacted form – emails that Abedin forwarded to humamabedin@yahoo.com that ended up on Wiener’s laptop.

On Aug. 29, WND reported two-thirds of Abedin’s released emails were forwarded to personal addresses she controlled.

Donna Brazile Shared Additional Debate Questions With Clinton Campaign, Identified Her Tipster
dailycaller.com ^ | 10/31/2016 | Chuck Ross
Posted on 10/31/2016, 11:07:39 AM by Red Badger

Donna Brazile, the interim chair of the Democratic National Committee, began providing town hall and debate questions to the Clinton campaign earlier than previously known, emails released by WikiLeaks on Monday show.

The email threads also show that Brazile, a former CNN contributor, revealed to the Clinton campaign the name of the person who provided her with a question that was asked of Clinton at a March 13 town hall co-hosted by CNN and TV One. Brazile also shared a question from a debate hosted by CNN a week earlier.

A March 12 email exchange shows Brazile stating that she received a town hall question from Roland Martin, a TV One host who co-moderated a March 13 town hall with CNN’s Jake Tapper.

A March 5 email shows that she shared a question with Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and communications director Jennifer Palmieri that was to be asked in a March 6 debate hosted by CNN in Flint, Mich.

The emails were hacked from Podesta’s Gmail account.

When part of the March 12 email was released earlier this month, Brazile initially vehemently denied that she shared a question with the campaign. “What a stretch,” is what she told The Daily Caller when asked about it.

She has since said that the email may have been doctored by Russian hackers. She also complained that she is being “persecuted” over the matter.

Brazile has recently stopped short of denying that she received the debate question and shared it with the Clinton campaign. But in an interview with PBS’s Tavis Smiley last week, she said that CNN did not provide her the question. Notably, she did not deny that Martin gave it to her. Martin has given waffling answers on whether he shared the question with Brazile. (RELATED: Donna Brazile Claims She’s Being ‘Persecuted’ Over Leaks To Clinton Campaign)

In the March 12 exchange, Brazile mentions Martin by name and offers to provide more than just the one town hall question that she is known to have shared with the campaign.

“I’ll send a few more. Though some questions Roland submitted,” Brazile wrote to Palmieri in the March 12 email thread, which is entitled “From time to time I get the questions in advance.”

The question she provided to Palmieri matched verbatim a question that a exonerated death row inmate asked Clinton the next night.

CNN and host Jake Tapper have strongly denied sharing that question or any other with Brazile or anyone else.

But an email released on Monday casts new doubt on the network’s claims that it never shares questions with outsiders.

On March 5, Brazile tipped the Clinton team off to a question that was to be asked the next day at a debate that was hosted by CNN’s Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper.

“One of the questions directed to HRC tomorrow is from a woman with a rash,” Brazile wrote to Podesta and Palmieri.

“Her family has lead poison and she will ask what, if anything, will Hillary do as president to help the ppl of Flint.” screen-shot-2016-10-31-at-9-06-58-am

March 12 email from Donna Brazile (via WikiLeaks)

A transcript of the debate shows that a woman did ask the question of both Clinton and Sanders.

“After my family, the city of Flint and the children in D.C. were poisoned by lead, will you make a personal promise to me right now that, as president, in your first 100 days in office, you will make it a requirement that all public water systems must remove all lead service lines throughout the entire United States, and notification made to the – the citizens that have said service lines,” the woman asked. (RELATED: Jake Tapper Says DNC Chair’s Town Hall Leak Is ‘Very, Very Troubling’)

Brazile, who claimed during the Democratic primaries that she was neutral, has defended herself during the email controversy by claiming that she was in regular communication with all Democratic candidates. But there has been no evidence produced so far that she shared debate and town hall questions with Sanders.

TheDC reached out to CNN for comment but did not hear back by press time. Brazile also did not return a request for comment.

Hillary Clinton And A Constitutional Crisis (Doug Schoen)
forbes.com ^ | Oct 31, 2016 | Doug Schoen
Posted on 10/31/2016, 11:44:48 AM by Helicondelta

“I am deeply concerned that we will have a constitutional crisis if she’s elected. I want to learn more this week, see what we see, but as of today, I am not a supporter of the Secretary of State for the nation’s highest office.”

With those words during my weekly program on the FOX Report, Political Insiders, I made one of the toughest and biggest decisions of my career.

As I have written so many times before, I’m deeply proud of the work I did for President Bill Clinton between 1994 and 2000. We won re-election successfully in 1996 and actually worked with the other side – a tradition in American politics that has now been lost. And I worked closely with Secretary Clinton, who I admire greatly.

But since Friday’s announcement from FBI Director James Comey that the FBI may have found emails related to the Clinton probe on Anthony Weiner’s computer, the prospect of a successful Clinton presidency has been thrown into chaos.

What I mean by this is that we are staring down the barrel of a criminal investigation of President-elect Clinton. We will also be facing investigations into her top aide, Huma Abedin, who apparently forwarded emails to her shared computer with her husband, Weiner, to print and give to the former Secretary of State. And there’s a very real chance that there will be investigations into the actions of the Justice Department and the FBI Director himself.

This is no way to start any presidency, let alone one after such a tumultuous campaign and eight years of hyper partisanship that has left America more divided than ever before.

Now Five FBI Field Offices Are Probing Clinton Charity, Adding Fuel To The Fire
Daily Caller ^ | October 30, 2016 | Richard Pollack
Posted on 10/31/2016, 10:12:56 AM by COUNTrecount

FBI field offices in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Little Rock, Ark., are investigating the Clinton Foundation concerning allegations of pay-to-play financial and political corruption, according to a report at The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) Sunday.

Mirroring information provided by a former senior law enforcement official that “multiple FBI investigations are underway involving potential corruption charges against the Clinton Foundation,” WSJ revelation confirms what The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group reported in August.

FBI field offices in three cities, specifically, New York, Little Rock and Washington, D.C., were coordinating with the U. S. Attorneys working in those cities. FBI agents in Miami are also joining the probe, TheDCNF has since learned.

The Clinton Foundation has numerous programs operating in Haiti, the Caribbean, Latin America and South America. “Los Angeles agents had picked up information about the Clinton Foundation from an unrelated public corruption case and had issued some subpoenas for bank records related to the foundation” and described the unusual field office initiative as “at times a sprawling cross-country effort,” WSJ reports.

Several polls released Saturday and Sunday show a rapid deterioration of presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s lead in the wake of Friday’s disclosure by FBI Director James Comey that he is reopening the email server investigation. Comey said in August that he did not believe the FBI’s investigation of Clinton and her use of private servers and private email addresses to conduct official diplomatic business would be productive.

Hillary Clinton is more unpopular than ever says poll started BEFORE FBI bombshell...

Hillary Clinton is the most unpopular she's ever been, disliked by six out of ten voters, a poll showed Monday - and there could be worse to come for the candidate as the impact of the FBI's email bombshell becomes clearer.

The Democrat is seen unfavorably by 60 per cent of voters to Trump's 58 per cent, according to the ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll.

That is her worst showing since the survey began tracking in May last year, shortly after she announced her candidacy.

The survey was conducted from Oct. 27-29 - only partially after the FBI sensationally announced on Friday that it was investigating thousands of emails that might be related to the former secretary of state's private server.
