well for the longest i thought maybe its kinda cool but then i recall a post from pumpster saying he loved it and then it dawned on me "it's a dump"

I love venice because its such a dump! I'm always saying, if your having a bad day head to venice beach. Your sure to get a good laugh before you leave. Why, I was their just this Sunday. A black vender was arguing with this hispanic lady over the quality of his sage. She wanted a refund (HA!), anyway he started cursing her out and calling her a mutha fuckin lier. All of a sudden this homeless white dude comes past yelling, "KILL WHITEY!" HA! I love venice beach, its home to the freaks, geeks and weirdos. Oh yeah, this on top of the Majarajee Budist Festival invasion that day.

Venice was cool to walk around. A lot of freaks but a cool scene. Went to Santa Monica to go out. It was nice.

You know, the Venice Boardwalk is the second most visited attraction in Los Angeles county. Millions of people go to check the place out, and yes, it is unique. The Muscle Beach workout center is right next to the paddle racqet courts, and next to the basketball courts. If you have not visited there, it is worth just checking out once, and walking the boardwalk.

About a mile away is Marina Del Rey which is pretty nice, and 10 blocks north of the main part of the boardwalk is Gold's Gym Venice.

I go once in a while, when they have a show on the beach, like on Labor Day, to check out the most interesting personalities. It is quite entertaining.

Venice has character. It's a little dumpy but a great place to people watch.

Every time I'm in LA, I make sure I go for lunch at Figtrees there at least once - good food & a buncha freaks to watch. Perfect IMO. Better than the heavily sanitized Santa Monica...
