Ok here is MDTV with Kai Greene.
All I have to say is wow, he has humbled me and im not a easy man to humble lol.
Yeah allt he Grape fruit jokes and so on.. But man.. He is one struggling man.
I don´t say this often but I wish him all the best in the future and I hope he wins the AC.

i've actually always liked kai greene..he looks big and full and we'll see what he looks like come the arnold..i say top 3...as for his living conditions...kai greene has been through a lot and i have nothing for respect for the man. hopefully he can make some money this year and get himself a real house.

I feel sorry for him, it looks like he can paint, why doesnt he use that talent somewhere? Someone is paying for the apartment, is it the state? Why does he have trouble walking? He is all alone. Bodybuilders are a dime a dozen. I have begged to hear what the oldtimers are doing. How is their health, do they work, did they have a relationship. They just seem to disapear.

Makes me think that a couple of rich schmoes found him and said, "hey, let's see what happens if we give this negro drugs, make him eat, train..." They could create their own personal muscle boy toy.

In the 5 boroughs of NYC, you really don't need a car. It is much cheaper to take public transportation.
Parking alone in the city is an at risk venture. If you can find free parking. Costs much more to pay for parking in a garage, can be anywhere from $500. or more per month.
I found it funny that Palumbo found walking and public transportation to get where you need to go a hardship. When you live in a city with public transportation, that is what you do.

I don't want to bash a great bodybuilder like Kai, but I agree with the sentiment in your post.
Ronnie worked as full time cop until he won a few Olympias.
The work ethic of Arnold is what made him rich and famous along with being Mr O.
Jay Cutler markets himself and makes a lot out of his pro career, etc.
Kai Greene is a fantastic bodybuilder whi looks to be quite artistic. But, dreams and ideals don't always pay the rent.
A solid career and/or financial backing are what one needs to be secure.
I suspect Kai could have a great pro career along with a stable income if he was willing to do so.

What do you think ? Brooklyn is one square Mile? When taking trains ..It isn't like a cab? It doesn't pick you up at your home,then drop you off at your destination ..There are other stops .Also delays.. 5th ave gym is in Park Slope,I believe he said he's in Flatbush?

I saw the video and I immediately wanted to go lift. The guy's grocery bill was like $86 which is super economical for a pro bodybuilder. Takes the bus and subway to the gym and lives in a pretty rough area. All of that and his physique is world class. If anyone deserves the Arnold win its Kai Greene. Muscletech sponsers everyone else so why not sponser Kai?

Dude .. I know people that live in Redhook projects..That's one of the most violent projects in Brooklyn.. They have no plans of leaving. THey pay $400.00 dollars a month rent ,and finance Benzes and Range Rover trucks.. They love the projects.. They have Plasma t.v's. Surround sound stereos.
They make the best of their living situation. Drive by the projects...You'll see all of the nicest cars around ..
My other friend owns an insurance company.. He lives in the projects with his brother ..His rent is $200.00 a month ..He said he's never leaving ..He's been there his whole life ..Everyone knows him ,and he's comfortable ..

This guy would never make a living at PT. PT is about selling. In order to sell you have to have some personality (which he doesnt) and you need to be articulate (which he isn't). Done. He won't make money in PT even if he has a good physique.

What's funny to me is that Serge Nubret was banned in the mid 70's from the IFBB for doing a simulated love scene with a woman in a movie, like you'd see in any R rated movie. They said he was doing "porn" and it reflected badly on the IFBB. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that except that Palumbo has this "poor poor Kai Greene" attitude throughout the piece, and acts as though he's above taking a train, walking to a corner store or parking his car in the street.

I also own property ..Dude .It's not easy,and it doesn't take a month .That's completely false.. You can't throw someone out after not paying one months rent ..So you're full of shit ! I had tenants that didn't pay for 6mons. After the 3rd month I lost my patience and knocked on the door,told him I want you the fuck out of my house this month,or I'm gonna pick you up and physically throw you out .. They called the cops ..Then I took them to court..The judge tore me a new asshole ! Get judgment, walk across the hall to sherriffs office where they serve the warrant for restitution of the premises within a few days after that. Why let someone go 3 months in arrears. 1) He says that the elevator smells like piss. Obviously we can't smell the elevator, so this is a great way to set the mood of poverty.
2) He acts like it's a big deal Kai doesn't have a car. Newsflash: Nobody has a car in NYC. What would he do with it if he did? If he drove to the gym, it would probably take him close to as long as it takes on the subway, plus parking would be a bitch. I have lived in NY for 4 years and have never owned a car and have never felt like I was poor. Almost nobody I know owns a car here.
Plus, a car would cost him what, 3-500 dollars a month? That obviously pales in comparison to the amount that Kai spends on food/drugs.
