We can assume that McCain will be wearing shoe lifts in the debates.
He's 5 foot 6 in his latest Doctor report. Seems he's lost an inch of height in the last 3 years.
Obama is 6 foot 1.
Will this affect voters' perception in 2008? I remember being irked that my favorite Bush was dwarfed by Kerry in 2004. The taller guy does better in real life, statistically, correct?

Everyone knows short men are perceived to be lacking. Whether there's any truth to that is irrelevant.
The perception is there, and as long as the perception remains, it plays out to McCain's detriment.

McCain said a few hundred people, so 10 of them would reach like what - 5,000 ppl or so? One TV debate reaches millions.

McCain probably figures Obama loses some of the youth advantage by being on TV less. Might be less security too. :)
