An employees’ best protection is having the ability to go somewhere else. This requires a dynamic economy with minimal government intervention.

This is true^  They paid out to help others, now its their turn. Us old folks need to start thinking about retirement and SS.  ;)

So glad I opened 401K's 30+ years ago, couldn't imagine retirement w/out them...

Get a job.  Get two jobs.  Whatever.

Live cheap. 

If your employer doesn't have a 401k you can still open an IRA and contribute up to $6,000 per year ($7,000 for those 50 and over).

You can also still save and invest in tax efficient index funds if you have even more to invest.

Or you could buy rental real estate and make money that way.

Chinese immigrants come to America and sleep on rice sacks while building a business and become wealthy.

No excuses for lazy people who want Uncle Sugar to support them.

Give up the smartphone and 500 channel cable package and direct it to investment.  Put a TV antenna on the roof for $25.

Instead of a $200 cable/phone bill I have internet for $55/mo, a Tracfone for $8/mo and $25 TV antenna one time cost from eBay.

$63 vs. $200.

There's $130/mo or so there to save and invest.  

Skip takeout and make beans and rice at home.  Make your own coffee in a $10 drip machine instead of buying at Dunkin.

Make some sacrifices today for a better tomorrow.

Read books on investing by John Bogle.  Go to Bogelheads.org.

Wouldn’t an employee’s best protection be that they’re the hardest working and lowest paid in their office ?

Hillary Clinton on Bernie Sanders: 'Nobody likes him' — herself included



In an upcoming Hulu documentary, Clinton claims Sanders has no allies in Congress.

“Nobody likes him,” Clinton says. “Nobody wants to work with him; he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney, and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter published Tuesday, Clinton was asked if that assessment still holds.

“Yes, it does,” she replied.

“It’s not only him,” Clinton continued. “It’s the culture around him. It’s his leadership team. It’s his prominent supporters. It’s his online Bernie Bros and their relentless attacks on lots of his competitors, particularly the women.”

She added: “I really hope people are paying attention to that, because it should be worrisome that he has permitted this culture — not only permitted, [but he] seems to really be very much supporting it.”
