Post by: Marty Champions on November 26, 2007, 09:25:49 PM
to see how far they can push themselves? who is with me? lets all put our numbers of reps in this thread and eat as much as possible through the night and go to work with a killer pump and eat plenty of food to stay awake and not sleep and keep this up for a few days? why not try it you only have one life to live who knows what you may experience. eat plenty of carbs or whatever to stay awake its easy!

I pushed my human existance harder than you ever have Daddy, it was called United States Marine Corps. Plus you are quite young yet and can handle lesser sleep than I. I have to work full time, sucks without sleep. ;)

High drinking at night... 6 hours of sleep and doing 400 pushups a day plus training 3 days a week.

if you go by their personal perspective they wasted their lives, had they not served they would have lived longer obviously.   I understand defending your country but not the offensive part of it, most 'serving' is unnecessary it seems.

Waddy-

Lack of sleep is not proof of pushing one's human existance. I choose to sleep as this is how the body is repaired. this is when the muscle actually grows. You cannot be sleep deprived for very long before you start going in reverse, simply put..........you cannot change human physiology. ;)

This is where you are wrong. The men who died serving did so in the great tradition of preserving the peace of freedom. However political you want to get, whether or not this war is right or not. The men and women who die serving did not waste their lives.
Would you apply this logic to a bodybuilder who dies from steriods all for the sake of being big yet never won the Sandow?
Some wars are wrong, some wars are nessesary. All wars are bad and a sad thing. However, without the men in uniform to defend you would not have freedoms.

But they are dead, so it's not worth it to them, they are dead!  It's people fighting violence with violence.

Everyone I've ever known who's gone into the service preaches about how they are going to go in and do this and do that. Then they are going to get out and get all of this money to go to school, and they are going to make this amount of money at this high paying job the military is going to hook them up with. All of a sudden one of them gets out and is either fucked up in the head, from being in, or they get back home dont do a goddamn thing but bumm around and go to the high school parties.

what is the reason for this??

honest question

Well how many aren't motivated to go to college so they settle and do that?

But they are dead, so it's not worth it to them, they are dead!  It's people fighting violence with violence.

This is where you are also wrong. You see, when one enlists into the military, they usually know there is a good chance they can and may die in doing so. They know this and do it anyway. Why?
They do it out of love for their country and, an understanding of just how precious our freedoms really are and, at what price it takes to keep them. To the men in uniform who die in service, to most of them it was worth it, even dead. They know of the greater cause', the freedoms of the people.
this all may be hard to understand for some of you, yet think of this. If nobody took the self sacrificing deed of serving, then just who the hell would keep your butt safe?
Also, there absolutely is no other way to handle violence then to do so with greater violence, This is why war is brutal. You cannot compare general violence with that of one nation to another, it's just not even the same.

interesting

Food consumption of the calorie-fed rats was lower during baseline than that of the protein-fed group but during sleep deprivation increased to amounts 250% of normal without net body weight gain. Despite a fat-laden diet the calorie-fed hyperphagic group did not have abnormal levels of plasma cholesterol, triglycerides, or glucose, indicating accelerated turnover of nutrients. As would be consistent with calorie malnutrition, pronounced clinical chemistry or hematological abnormalities were not found in any group. Beneficial effects of the calorie-augmented diet are attributed to 1) caloric density of fat, 2) induction of hyperphagia, and 3) efficiency of utilization of fat.

basically what this means if you sleep deprive yourslef you can have more time to train and actually possibly weigh less and have a better muscle to fat ration. and 'intro to hyperphagia' meaning you are eating more than your body actually needs meaning again you are losing fat while eating a ton

now couple this along with training all night long with no sleep, and results will be even better

right now im sitting on my ass eating food just chillin and reading i probably wont train for a another couple hours till im truly ready . i plan to not sleep indefinitly , there is really no need for sleep. you are basically 'day dreaming' with your eyes closed when you are asleep nothing less nothing more. everyone i command you to follow me you see me coming up in the ranks , first you hated me now more and  more are catching on, no i am not the antichrist but i am your leader in search 4 the TRUTH!

good point...it's just bullshit that the recruiters can tell them they are going to get this and that when in reality they put their lives on the line for next to nothing
