I'm going against the getbig grain here, but statistically I like 7 getbiggers and hate the rest ;D, so no big loss here, having re-assessed my stance, IMO Phil is a great Mr O and would love to see him win again.......my reasons:
1-He never raped a grape-fruit
2-Best arms and delts thickness we've seen on stage in a long time
3-On stage he is separated, hardest and far more proportionate than any other IFBB competitors right now, no one can argue that.
4-Smallest waist out of all recent Mr Os: Dorian, Ronnie, Dexter, Jay.
5-No children, Ron with his 8 (+1 on the way) from different "womenz" is not doing Hebrew men's reputation any favours.
6-He doesn't partake in Gay insinuated photo shoots....I am yet to see him dress like a semi naked fireman, or suspenders and cut up jeans with leather boots. Nick Toscani should take a leaf of his book.
7-No suspicious oil in any body part.
8-Married to a middle class white woman, which decreases the likelyhood of his offspring robbing you or kicking your son's ass in school whilst calling him " ginger cracka"

Good point, but I think if he hadn't...he would just be another Troy Alves or something like that, someone admired for aesthetics and shape but never rewarded in comps. He managed to get very big whislt keeping his waist quite small (relatively).

I think Coleman is actually closer in the pic, but overall, no one has come close to Ron's 2003 stage mass and shape.

Excellent post, I don't understand all the Phil "HATE" on GB myself.....I actually saw him on Saturday night as the guest poser at the show in NY, he's a complete FREAK in person, yes he may not have the widest shoulders( but there plenty wide) , but I have never seen a BB that thick width wise from front to back, small waist and in great shape 10 weeks out. Major chest improvements this offseason.
He also got up at the podium and addressed the crowd, he is a good public speaker and is good for BB, he doesn't sound like a stereotypical meathead when he speaks.
And Nick Trigili was the overall winner in this show, that kid is a total freak too.....he was 255 on stage.

Phil is a bit on the flaky side, but he has dabbled on the side. it just takes the wrong c u n t to give his wife a call and tiger woods shit will break out.

I think his biggest problem right now is simply being number 1, shit flinging comes with the sandow package and the majority always wants to see the top dog fail and loves the underdog who is poised to do so.

The only underdogs I really like now are Big Ramy and Wolf.
Big Ramy is yet to get really cut....same problem as Mustafa Mohammad, great to be admired physique but just about top 5 Mr O if lucky.
Wolf is awesome BUT I can't get past his calf...makes it worse that one is a lot smaller then the other, totally deflated. Needs to find a way to fix it.

I actually like Phil. He has great genetics and has come a far way even while being a little narrow, but he does take social media negativity a little too personal. Best Mr. Olympia since Ronnie in my opinion.

Phil has small joints and big muscle bellies like flex wheeler. What he lacks in size he makes up for in illusion and coming to the show in shape.im not a fan of him responding to the haters. Arnold got into his competitors heads without publicly looking for confirmation. He was confident enough to ignore his detractors and if Phil took a lesson from Arnold in that respect he would be more like able.

Phil is a great bodybuilder who looks like a Mr. Olympia and is well spoken.
He'll never look as good as 2011. After that his waist has gotten blurry
and he is getting too big for his frame.

C'mon now Wiggs. You know we are cool when we met. But seriously, I can always take a good laugh, which in fact happens here on GetBig. It reminds me of the good ol' days I used to post here while on the come up and people being nicer on here. I do recognize that when you're on top that you will have people that wanna see someone else succeed, so I do get it as its human nature. As far as the social media stuff. I'm just having fun just like you guys on here do at the athlete's expense so we kind of have it in common right?! I mean c'mon, I should be able to laugh at funny stuff too. Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone here for being cool, even when they say funny negative stuff. If people can understand that most basketball guys like me grew up talking smack they'd quickly understand where I'm coming from. Its never personal really, well sometimes as people do kind of take it there, so why not clap back on em and make them meltdown like you guys do here to each other. Seriously though, its been fun to now come one here, so Imma leave my account on for awhile and see how the interaction goes.

certainly. the murse was simply for the fact i always had too many things that made my pockets bulk which sucked. Once I started traveling a ton, I had to have my personal and business phone, wallet, passport, charger etc. I hope that helps. As for the forbes article, you have to read it without jumping to the negative as it was simply providing clarity for the consumer that they're going to receive a product that will not flag a natural athlete for a bad test. Many athletes get hit with this and then talk about the supplements they took. Well, we have made sure that wouldn't happen due to our formulations. Hope that helps my man.

I expect some improvements that you were able to see a glimpse of in my most recent guest posing in White Plains, NY last weekend. I'm always the type to not throw out predictions of improvements, changes etc. What I can say is that I'm well aware of the challenges at hand and I do my best daily to succeed.

Ok, this is where Imma keep it 100% with you since everyone been cool. I abandoned it due to not liking the strain it caused on my delts and also the fact I noticed doing dumbbells worked better for me. I do a lot of flat bench db actually, I guess its usually filmed on days when I'm doing mostly hammer. I believe that I did some free weights during my dvds unlike the youtube vids most ppl see. I definitely believe in using both and make sure you stay injury free.

I actually read those too, Vlad just happened to see that mag laying around so I grabbed it. What also sucked about that scene is that I used too much liquid and while adding the hot water, I turned on the jets and it pushed all the water out of the damn tub. What a fuckin mess that was lol. Oh and i love the amazon drone reference as that shit is crazy that they're really trying to do this. i worked as a college intern one summer at amazon in seattle back in '99 and boy have times changed there.

that's actually a great question. I have seen what I looked like back when I turned pro and wouldn't mind being that size once I'm REALLY retired lol. I'd like to get back to doing martial arts and boxing, as I competed in that as a youth. Either way, I wanna lift enough to feel that pump, stay leaner and possibly do other sports that I've missed.

I know your like exotics but a new c7 z06 is going to be fucking nasty. I got to see one of the prototypes here in Cali and lets just say 600 to 700 hp stock is not out of the question. Add more boost a tune and exhaust you in the 800

It's a heavy ass car, but has the horses. The racing version had beat out some 458s and Mclaren 12cs in a race in Europe a few months back. They have done some work for that racing version.
I think the road version would look good in darker colors.
For me, the M3/M4...although for you, I think it would be the M6 Gran Coupe. For the fam, Macan or X5 M.

Haha that's pretty funny. Pendleton is a huge base man massive.. I could see you out here Phil. With your style of living I'd say la jolla. Just need to win about 10 more Olympia checks and put them straight in the bank for a place out there. It's stupid fucking expensive but very very nice! I know you did some guest possing at the all armed forces a few years ago in San Diego. You need to get out here more often! The military guys would go crazy if you did a meet and greet plus if you never been on a naval warship it's pretty amazing

Hey, if Reebok can create a Crossfit shoe, then it is entirely possible for you to get a specialized training shoe in the same vein. In fact, the Crossfit shoe could have been marketed as a bodybuilding or "training" shoe.
Most of the top Crossfitters look like bodybuilders anyway.

My lifts on dvds include:
22 reps with 150s on incline - The Gift Unwrapped
4 plates on front squats
140s on flat bench for 22 reps
4plates on smith military press
6 plates maxing out the incline hammer press for reps
can't remember all tho but i'll do more stuff.

Thanks, i agree with McLaren as I don't think they initially decided to do the 650S. The Elmiraj would be dope, but the cost would probably be too high for a domestic exotic. The Panamera was something I first wanted, but realized that I'd be stuck with the 4S while paying the same as the S550 so I chose that instead. I just didn't like the fact that the Panamera looked weak without the spoiler up and that made it look like an "egg". I can feel you on the whole Reebok thing as they really should've looked into this, but hopefully someone else will in the future.

How did you become an IFBB pro and Mr. Olympia by remaining 100% natural? From what I have gathered, all IFBB pros, especially past Mr. O's have used drugs (steroids, HGH, etc) to achieve their physiques. But in the above statement you attest that you wanted to show people that you're a natural athlete. How did you become so big being natural? Did you just eat an extra 50 grams of protein each day? Or were you taught some Weider principles that no one else knows about? Or perhaps you know about some protein shakes or creatine that others do not know about.
I hope to become Mr. Olympia some day and I want to do it naturally, just like you.

I asked about this earlier in this thread an Phil did respond. I believe he was speaking on people who are natural athletes not getting a positive test because of over the counter supps that are not certified drug free. He was not stating that he himself is a drug free athlete.

Depends how you read the statement. It can be easily read to say an aspiring natural athlete would prefer to take FDA compliant supplements to retain natural status, without asserting his own natural status.

I think a lot of people, myself included, like Phil Heath. He is a respected king of bodybuilding right now, treats his fans well, talks to them, tweets and responds back, and tries hard to portray himself as how he would want to be when he wasn't on the top.
That being said - he is the #1 bodybuilder in the world and the three time champion coming into the 50th anniversary of the O, where only a few contenders can try and dethrone him. He talked to talk, and walks to walk.

Phil has stepped on stage and wasn't even called out in the previous olympia.
He is by far the best competitor as of now.
Bodybuilding isn't about who is the widest, wideness comes from bone structure in the first place.

I remember you had said that Ron was had something in store with more competitors posting here....Maybe he knew about the supp deal Phil had, which means that Phil would be out of his contract with Muscletech. certainly. the murse was simply for the fact i always had too many things that made my pockets bulk which sucked. Once I started traveling a ton, I had to have my personal and business phone, wallet, passport, charger etc. I hope that helps. As for the forbes article, you have to read it without jumping to the negative as it was simply providing clarity for the consumer that they're going to receive a product that will not flag a natural athlete for a bad test. Many athletes get hit with this and then talk about the supplements they took. Well, we have made sure that wouldn't happen due to our formulations. Hope that helps my man.

A CL is classy but still maintains an aggressive edge to it. An S class would only be on my list when I near retirement age.

driving a decent, classy, Mercedes S550 is a far cry from driving a Bentley or Rolls.
I can see a Bentley/rolls (unless it's a pre-owned Flying Spur.. maybe a 2009 or something.. MAYBE), if you already have a 15k/month mortgage and with 2 other cars (car and suv maybe), and have the budget room for another $10k/month. ($2k lease/buy, with another $8k/month left over on top)
MAYBE then would a Bentley be 'not a bad idea'.
