Can you at least admit that a country like Mexico is wrong for preventing its law abiding citizens from having firearms? ???
There are thousands of murderers walking around Mexico completely immune to any kind of justice, and no end in sight. "Mexican officials say nearly 13,000 people were killed in violence blamed on organized crime between January and September last year."
Considering the fact that their gun ban isn't preventing any violence at all, why keep guns out of the hands of good people that only want to defend their family?
-
You ask why!
Well, here's the formula:
Feigned outrage + Desire to Control * (epic # of denials * epic # of double standards) + delusional belief that 2nd Amendment is dated, misunderstood, or just wrong + pathetic need to tell you what you need
=
Desire to ban ALL guns using incrementalism.
Class dismissed.

No, no, Mexico is fine. The cartels have all the firepower while the citizens have jack shit. Meanwhile, the cartels run roughshod over them and have established their own shadow governments due to the inability of the citizens to do anything.
Gun control really works!!!! ::)

Gun control isnt about guns, its about control...

Bump
-
I can almost see the argument for gun control in a society with a lower crime rate... almost...
I think the fact that countries like Mexico, Brazil or Russia ban guns say a whole lot about what gun bans are really all about.
-
I will agree that Mexico us wrong. Not about anything in particular. Just wrong.

Obama and Biden want to ban assault rifles from good, law abiding US citizens.
Wait, didn't Obama and Biden approve the sale of American made assault rifles to Mexican cartels, who in turn used them to kill law enforcement and innocent men, women and children?

So, is it safe to say that you're OK wit civilians having any kind of weapon (machine guns, grenades, bazookas, tanks, explosives, etc.) provided there is training, background checks and some type of yearly qualification?

Figures
so how do you suggest we reduce/stop the mass shootings we've seen lately? And please don't say more guns in school. Do we really want to turn this country into a military state?
-
Sure. With training and background checks and some type of yearly qualification - i see no problem w it.
do we have any of that now other than the background check part
hey - where in the Constitution did the founding fathers say there should be background checks, training or yearly "qualification"
what exactly is this qualification process and if you fail do you forfeit your guns and does the government pay you for the value of your gun?
sounds like something they would do in a commie country as an excuse to take your guns
