Hmmn... interdasting choices - 2 x SEALS

From the little I've seen/read, Goggins is clearly a high-functioning sociopath

And Jocko can maybe be a little self-righteous/preachy - but high self-confidence and strong leadership traits can be misread as arrogance some times

But is it character, or just the way they look that puts them on the list for you?

I can’t put my finger on it. It might be my disgust for the surrogate-father industry that consists of Goggins, Jocko, Jordan Peterson, Rogan, Ferriss, etc.

That's a genuinely fascinating point - you've put your finger on something there that I hadn't really thought much about - that term in particular - that chimes with me too

Maybe some of us are drawn to bodybuilding because you have to depend on yourself - so we admire stoicism and frown on weakness - so I think I get where you're coming from a little

They’re cashing in on the fatherless epidemic. A quarter of US households have no dad and many have air-headed dads. Hence you have all these jackasses spouting platitudes and telling men what to do all the time and hot heads like Goggins barking and bellowing about how men should be mouth breathing, take-no-shit weirdos.
