Well, its true, not everyone wants to compete (I am not bashing those that do). A guy at my gym is pretty freaking huge and ripped. Big Irish guy. He has absolutely no desire to step on a bodybuilding stage. Why is it so hard to believe that someone can be in shape, but not want to compete?  ??? ???

I've competed. That's not the point. It was forever ago and I definitely don't deserve to be put in the same class as someone actively competing.

Ron's rules.

Blue stars are only for people that HAVE competed. Time isn't a factor, Cutler had blue stars when he posted he, he should keep them even if he hasn't competed in years.

Exactly. I competed 30 yrs ago and proudly got 6th out of 8 guys at the Mr Podunk.
Then, I did the BB world a favor and hung up my trunks. In other words, I sucked as a bodybuilder.

I didn't have much ripped mass , but I stuffed a sock down my trunks and got a few schmoes gawking.

Certainly nothing wrong with not competing on the stage.

Just on getbig he wouldn't get his stars.

I never really understood the stars thing myself to be honest. I mean, if you don't get anything special for it, what difference does it matter.

Blue stars, yellow stars, whatever.

Maybe I should add something like blue stars are class warfare... The elite blue stars trying to have dominion over the lowly yellow stars on getbig.

What happens when someone receives these mystical blue stars? Is it like receiving a purple heart or nobel peace prize? Can one use these blue stars like a get out of jail free card? Do these blue stars help you land a great job or improve your credit score, maybe join a private country club? These stars sound very interesting and exciting. Please tell me what they do???? The last time I remember stars being handed out and anyone getting excited was in 2nd or 3rd grade. I thought it was fucking stupid back then even as a kid. Surely now these magical stars must have some great value and meaning to them and not just handed out for bravery of entering a bodybuilding competition????

Whatever legitimacy blue stars have would be diminished by giving them to someone who hasn't compete in that long.
