It takes a lot of money to drain the swamp

Trump seeks $1 billion campaign funds from oil executives, pledging to overturn Biden's environmental policies.
At a Mar-a-Lago meeting in April, Trump promised to scrap energy and climate policies opposed by the industry.

Lenin believed that when it would be time to hang them, the “capitalists will sell us the rope.”

Proof you are a troll.  The nation runs on and needs oil.  Bidens' failed policies led to inflation with his communist disastrous energy policies!   Thankfully Biden is gone in a few months.

Biden would get destroyed and his people know it. He is blowing smoke and will claim Trump backed down.

I'm not so sure.  The bar will be set pretty low, so all he needs to do is show up and not trip and fall on stage and he will be deemed the winner.

Looks like Biden is underwater in every state, with Hawaii at 49 percent.  Of course.  ::)

Biden’s team had a few demands for a Trump debate. A major one: No crowd.

Someone commented that Biden's health moves in only one direction.  I observed an older relative's cognitive abilities deteriorate drastically in 2-3 months.  This is a repulsive, disgusting, and reprehensible public display of elder abuse.

Don't you mean while the video is broadcast live, and the debates are actually happening? Otherwise, manipulating them after the broadcast is a given... crowd or no crowd. And, when this happens, they will be manipulated differently by each side so as to influence their chosen audience.

This is ridiculous. The Biden team put forth all these ridiculous demands to try to save the senile codger.

Quote
An empty TV studio could, Biden aides feel, deprive their GOP rival of a major advantage when they face off.

Of course they want no crowds. Have you seen how many people show up in Biden's rallies? He would struggle to fill the studio. Plus, even if he found some Democrats they might have interrupted with pro-Palestine chants so it wouldn't be to his advantage.

Quote
There were several conditions that the Biden team felt were necessary in order to agree to a debate with the former president, among them that the hosts weren’t from outlets with an ideological bent toward Trump

How many major outlets have an ideological bent toward Trump and how many toward Biden?

And why did Biden's handlers insist on no third party candidates? Are they afraid to let the people decide?

Cutting off the microphones is a good move as long as it is applied to everyone and not just Trump.

The media might declare him the winner but people will see what really took place. There is a real possibility he freezes in the middle of the debate.

I'm questioning if the democrats might be pressuring him to do debates knowing he will flop. This would be before the convention and they could use his performance as an excuse to replace him. There would be little time to dig up dirt on whoever replaces him before the election.

Interesting theory. As for time to dig up dirt, what cannot be dug up can be made up.

I believe in order to replace Biden, he would have to be impeached. Is there enough time for this process? What interests me more is who would replace him? Seems to me if Biden were impeached, VP Kamala Harris would replace him according to the 25th Amendment of the Constitution. Kamala Harris would not automatically be the Democratic nominee for 2024. Depending on when this happed Bidens' replacement would be nominated during the Democratic Convention in August.

He would not need to be impeached if they convinced him to step down. If this happened before the convention they can choose anyone they want. It doesn't have to be Harris. I'm guessing they would choose Gavin Newsom.
