Interval training. Favor Tabata as first choice. Also high rep squats, DL's or cleans. Good Luck.

hahahha  ;D

I like indoor treadmill with tv, I max out the incline to 15 clicks and power walk it around 3.0 mph for 45-1hr.  Makes my calves feel good and burns more calories than if it was just a flat treadmill.  We just got flat screens at my apartment gym with espn home channel so I'm stoked for that.

I've recently started walking on a treadmill at 3mph on 6% incline.  Liking that.  Can't wait till the new year when my new rec center opens and I can have access to an indoor track!

lately ive been doing abs in my room and in between sets flexing and squeezing all my muscles. put onsome music and spend a half hour of time doing this. works pretty good.

should those two words "favorite" and 'cardio' be used in the same sentence?

I know cardio works, but I hate it. Always have.

That said, I have a Recumbent Bike. I would rather swim, but I don't have access to a good lap pool.

3 mile run 3 times a week during non blizzard months.  By the end of the running season time is in the 27 minute range.  Winter time just an ab circuit.

12 - 3min rds, 30 sec rest each rd.

-on all the bags, all combo's, full speed, all defense, footwork..entire 9 none stop do not get sloppy.

-finish up with 3-3 min rds, 30 sec rest on speed bag and 3-3 min rds,30 sec rest skipping rope.

-this is all done in about 2 layers of clothing under a thick cotton hooded sweater btw with mouthpiece in.

If you have a gym with some bags...I say give it a legit shot...and go hard..don't half azz it..that's the point. Your cardio will sky rocket if your heart doesn't go out first. lol

I did about 9 rds tonight and shut it down...tired as hell. I'll be back on track though by weeks end thought.

Good Luck

training with the MMA guys is intense also. And grappling.....good lord...that sh8t is insane also.

How about cardio after a workout?

Is 30 min of jogging after weight training (45-1hr) overkill?
Should i jog several hours later or on a different day from weight training?

Best times for cardio are first thing in the AM or right after weight training.
