Gyno Removal Recommendations
« on: December 08, 2019, 03:17:43 AM »
Anyone living on the east coast in the Virginia/Maryland area or anywhere within a few hours drive have gyno removal? If so, any recommendations on doctors? And how much did it cost you out of pocket? Did insurance cover it? Any information would be helpful, been off gear for a few years and I still have gyno on both sides, and it’s been bothering me for a while and I’d like to get it removed, but want to know what the cost would be and who to go to. Thanks

Dr Blau in the NY area is one of the most well-known gyno specialists but there should be one in every major city.  Just go see a few viable options and go with the one that you like the best.  Try and go with one that does lots of gyno removal procedures, not just a general plastic surgeon that does 10-20 every year.  The guy I went with does 250+ every year.

It wont be covered by insurance.  It should run you about $4500-6000.  I wouldn't pay more than that.  Whatever you do: get it done.  Even if you have to finance it.  You'll be thankful for the rest of your life.

My worry would be scarring.

Dr Blau is by far the best option... if you can get from VA/MD to NY and plan to stay for a few days or more...

I wasnt able to do that due to work, so I had mine done at a surgeon in Towson, MD for 4000$. during examination we talked about the strong possibility of inverted nipple, so I decided to do the lipo and he got all the fat, and 95% of the gland. Looks 1 million times better.
HOWEVER - Is till have very small glands, and the real goal is to completely remove the gland and do lipo for fat reduction if needed... depends on how lean you are.

Scaring will be almost not even noticeable. If you have lipo done, then you may have a small scar from that, but also almost unnoticeable.

Overall, I am very happy with the results, and its the best thing i have done for myself in years. However, I still have very small glands under the nipple and the potential for re-growth is there.

So, if you can afford the time off from work and the travel to NY, Dr Blau is the best option hands down! Tell him Dave Palumbo sent you and youll get a bit of a discount as well )))

BTW - I was back in the gym in 2.5 weeks. Nothing crazy, but I was back!!!

If you need to have the nipple pulled up and tied due to excessive sag, then that will mean a much longer recovery - like 8 weeks. Do an online consult with Dr Blau for $200... its worth it and you can do it via Skype. He will ask for photos as well.

I can give you the info on the guy in Towson that I used if you cant do the Blau thing.

I had it done via power assisted lipo...  I had glands but the power assisted lipo grounded the glands up and then they lipo it out.  Looks great.  Glands gone and no scaring at all.  Never could tell, maybe 5 mm scar on lateral chest and 2 under chest.  But even looking for the scars, you can’t see them.  Cost was 4500 and I did it only with local anesthesia.  Most pain I ever felt but I’m scared of going under.
Well worth it.
I have minor pseudo gyno now because I have 5 kids now and like wine, so I’m doing kybella injections to dissolve remaining fat.
you are gay.

I've never heard of that.  Rick Silverman in Boston is supposed to be good and did Jay.

I did Pharmaceutical Nolvadex at 10-20mg per day for 6-8 months on 500 test e with no intentions to reverse gyno but just prevent it. I reversed most Of my existing gyno. I don’t need surgery anymore. Try Nolvadex alone. Only use Pharma grade, you’re trying to reverse gyno. It’s crucial to know what you’re taking is good. It takes time for it to shrink. Don’t expect 100% reversal. Start with 20mg everyday, then eventually drop down to 10 and keep lt there. If you can get Pharma Ralox, even better. But expect it to be 2-3x as expensive and hard to find

Once you have the glandular growth under the nipple, and have had gyno for more than 1 year, things like Tamoxifen will not help at all in reducing the actual size of the gland - it may help with "puffiness".
Tamoxifen is usually prescribed to men with idiopathic gyno or gyno that has just started.
in most cases, once the glands are established, the only option is to excise them surgically.
