Its just becoming very embarrassing that the Republicans are caught lying once again and being wrong about Planned Parenthood....... it seems like they are always punking their constituents with nonsense claims, firing up their base, and then disappointing them with lies and make-believe which again turns out to be untrue.
they out and out lied about planned parenthood using federal money for abortions.....acting as if Planned Parenthood is an abortion factory as if that is all they do, meanwhile they are one of the leaders in women's health which is about 85% of the work they do,...
The Republicans stated that abortions at planned Parenthood "skyrocketed" past cancer screenings...WRONG! There were 600,000 MORE cancer screenings than abortions performed.
now its found that they were dishonest and actually got their facts and figures from an anti-abortion conservative group NOT from Planned Parenthood's corporate reports as they had initially claimed... they also admit they never saw the full videos of reps from planned parenthood supposedly selling fetal tissue.....it has now come out that those videos were DOCTORED with creative editing....

I think the problem with the republicans is that the shock of electing a black man threw them into a tizzy....and they have spent the last seven years trying their best to make Obama look bad, discredit him, and not work with him. Also under Obama the country continues marching leftward with gay marriage and legalized Marijuana....... plus federal healthcare......

I don't think comparing an unborn child to a cake makes sense. Cake ingredients are inert. A fetus is a child. You should check out pictures of unborn babies.

Dude, I really think most people are close to the center, just a little left or right each way. A buddy of mine shares many of my views and when he took an online "quiz" it actually showed him to be center-left. I think it's just the squeaky wheel syndrome. You have extremist on both sides screaming at the top of their lungs, and the rest of us are just trying to make it through life without too much struggle.

I believe life begins at conception. I believe abortion kills a baby, often a grotesque way. I believe there are legitimate issues regarding the woman's bodily integrity. I think overall the decision on whether to have an abortion should be between the mother, father, and their doctor. Should it be legal or illegal? I really don't know.

fair enough..very well put...but abortion is also about having this procedure done through the proper channels....so as not to expose the mother to risk of infection. maiming and/or death...which happened often back in the old days when back alley abortions were performed.....also when self-abortions were performed with coat hangers...if we do away with abortions they will STILL be performed just illegally and dangerously......and more of them will be performed because there is much more casual sex than there was many years ago

not exactly. the partial birth abortion act only prohibits certain methods of abortion after the second trimester. you can still abort, you just have to abort a certain way.
conservatives keep trying to pass a federal ban on late term abortions, but it keeps getting voted down.

I don't judge the people who do get abortions. It's none of my business. I don't even mind that its legal. do whatever you want with YOUR babies. yeah there are states that outlaw the one where the baby is pulled out halfway and then killed. because a baby halfway out is a person in that state. but a baby that's still all the way in is not a person in that state.

or not agree with it but never say a word about it. you're only "pro life" if you are against both. Catholics are taught not to agree with either. conservatives forget this. because they are Republicans first, Catholics second.

I disagree. Abortion and the death penalty are not the same. A person accused of a capital crime gets a trial, lawyers, multiple appeals, and clemency requests. Unborn children get none of those things. Plus the right to deprive someone of life with due process of law is in the Constitution. Night and day.

Funny how you fundies can make excuses for breaking a commandment (the one part of the Bible you can actually claim came directly from your God) yet zero tolerance on something as harmless as gay people wanting to have equal rights

I can respect that distinction if you are a Republican. I cannot respect it if you are a Christian.
and just like people say you CANNOT be a Democrat and a Christian because of the abortion issue. Neither can you be a Republican and a Christian because of the death penalty. The Vatican has been very clear about their position on the death penalty.

I am not a Republican, but I am a Christian. My faith doesn't dictate my views on political issues And I'm not Catholic, so I really don't care what the Vatican has to say about the death penalty.
