I got a wicked black eye as a kid when a fly ball with lotsa hum on it curved around the glove... I swear to god that fucker was curving... and BAM right in the eye. What a geek.
Made an outstanding diving catch later that season that won the game for us tho. Dad said he might not put me up for adoption after that.
