Buh-bye Greece!
« on: August 20, 2015, 11:14:02 AM »
PM just resigned. Is there any chance they got their bail out money yesterday to pay the bills, then crawfish the EU? Is there any chance this means a rise of The Golden Dawn?

I predict that whatever party promises the most free money is gonna be the eventual majority coalition partner.

There's no government in the world that can save Greece. When "certain people" have decided that Greece goes bust they go bust...

while those "certain people" are making billions on the side betting on a falling Euro. :)

haha, if I am ever in Vegas, I will take you up on that offer, Wiggs!  ;D ;D

From what I hear the gyros in greece are actually much smaller when compared to American gyros. I also hear they are much more flavorful.

Seems like America takes all the recipe, and triples the size of them. Americans love their big portions!

Germany wont let Greece fail its doing too much for its export market by holding the value of the euro down. The euro was an act of genius for the German economy, everyone else much less so.

Greece is such a shit storm.

The US is in a shit storm too, it's just being papered over.  The US is in a stealth depression right now.  If it wasn't for EBT cards and other government handouts, you would see soup/bread lines going around the block.

Mazda,

What do you think is going to happen with the elections now? Greece is a global canary-in-a-coal mine.

_aj_ you know my opinion very well that the solution is to have a fair State, and a layality relationship between citizens and Goverment.

With this elections SYRIZA and former PM Tsipras, will lose a lot of power because they said that they will do a lot of things including the memorandum cancel.

Members of the SYRIZA party, now form a new party, arguying with Tsipras and SYRIZA, saying that "we want drachma, not a memorandum and a Communist-Socialist state".

So, SYRIZA and New Democracy (the second in power and coservative party), will be really close on this elections. But we are not going to have a party with majority...

So, i predict, three parties, SYRIZA, New Democracy and "The River" (a mediocre party) will form a common Goverment, cappable to manage the new memorandum that Tsipras and SYRIZA sign.

In any case, within 2 years, something stupid will happend, and we are gonna have election again.

In order of political stability, in this elections I will go with Tsipras.

Wake up man... they are all the same.  It's all bullshit.  No matter who is (s)elected, it only gets worse.

Thoughtful answer.

The collapse of the world's economy may have graduated out of Europe anyway. China's recent depeg of the yuan is still having ripple effects in the FX markets and had succeeded in exporting deflation. Since the ECB and the Fed have been trying to create inflation for years now and failed, it has left them in a perilous state.

September is going to be a wild ride on the world markets. Joon, diversify!

Good point!!!

Global economy is infected... trillions of debt, many people without the basic things for their life... I don't know, we need to do something.

I am 30 years old, and I already feel 50... I have dreams of making a family, have a decent job and not at the gym, dreams of competing (someday), and so many others things...

Vote for whoever you want and think it makes a difference. Don't worry, it all goes by plan. The future of Greece has been decided, elections are just some kind of TV entertainment shows (like SNL or Letterman) to divert the masses.

Do yourself a favor, stay single and don't have kids... you'll have a lot less to worry about and a lot more money in your pocket.
