Vanity, lead singer of the '80s girl group Vanity 6, has died after years of battling kidney failure and, more recently, an abdominal illness.

Back in the day, she was hotter than hot. Hotter than Apollonia. Prince dropped her once she started doing coke and the rest.

After a solo and movie career, she turned her life to Christ and became an evangelist. I met her when she visited my mother's church. She kept calling everyone "saints" and walked in a crouching position. I could tell then, her days were numbered.
